Every now and then I find that a hip-hop mixtape or EP some how slips through my radar going undetected. This time it's Miami based rapper QuESt and his mixtape Fear not Failure. Released back in April this mixtape featured 4 tracks, including this one, that were produced by the New Zealand dubstep duo Mt. Eden. The song, "One Way", is home to a sample of a Netsky track titled "Your Way". This sample combined with the smooth flow and reflective lyrics make for a great slow burning song. Miami rapper QuESt goes expertly in on a Netsky instrumental. These "produced by" sort of electronic hip hop tracks can often fall flat but "One Way" stands out from its more mediocre peers with its great hook/chorus and QuESt's tasteful use of the instrumental track (he doesn't get all AGGRO or let the track get in his way).
