Hér eru nokkur nýleg lög sem verið hafa í spilun hjá mér undanfarið: [MP3] Bring Back The Guns - In Piles/On Files [MP3] The Real Tuesday Weld - Last Words [MP3] Portugal. The Man - Shades [...]
" Imagine " is a utopian-themed song performed by John Lennon , which appears on his 1971 album, Imagine. Although originally credited solely to Lennon, in recent years Yoko Ono's contribution to the song has become more widely acknowledged. The song was produced by Phil Spector . [...] The lyrics were thought to be inspired by Lennon's hopes for a more peaceful world, though their origins are not known for certain. In 1963 Lennon penned the lyrics to " I'll Get You " with an opening verse of, "Imagine I'm in love with [...]

THIS WEEK'S FINDS July 8-14 "Deep Frieze" - Chris Letcher Smartly put together and sharply produced, "Deep Frieze" offers a gratifying union of acoustic, electric, and electronic sounds, linked beneath rich, almost choral-like vocalizing. A crisply strummed acoustic guitar lies at the heart of this midtempo rocker, but other rewarding guitar sounds come to fore as well, along with a battery of good-natured knob-twiddly noises. I like how this song feels so ornate without actually wasting a whole lot of aural space: it sounds very layered and yet you can easily, at [...]
Last month I posted about the announcement of Go Go Smear The Posion Ivy , the upcoming album from Múm . At the time there wasn't a proper new track to listen to as all that was out at the time was a track recorded from the band's Hlaupanotan session. Finally, we have a new song from the new album to snack on called "Dancing Behind My Eyelids" and to be honest, i'm still not entirely sold on this new sound sans twin sisters Kristin Anna and Gyða . [...]

What do you do when you know you are the third best musical act in Iceland? Keep doing what you do best, namely electronic excursions to faraway planets or perhaps change gear and introduce a surprise element like the semblance of a proper tune. From the sound of 'Dancing Behind My Eyelids' it would seem that Mum have chosen the latter and a nice departure it is too. Not that it'll be troubling

The names of the Múm albums were always so interesting. Either they are obvious and I just don't get it right away, or they are in fact in need of explanation. "Go Go Smear My Poison Ivy, Let your Crooked Hands be Holy" drops September 25th from FatCat . Unfortunately Kristín Valtýsdóttir isn't with the band anymore, but she is however still making music! This new track has more pop but still has that Múm feel . We really like the vocals on this one and look forward to the album release! [...]

Believe it or not, I have finally updated my Music-Collection-blog!!! That was about time! I've also given it a slight facelift, but it's not the final version yet, I think. Anyway, if you want to know what takes up the space in my flat, click here ! Icelands melancholic sound-architects Múm have released a new song called Dancing Behind My Eyelids . Splendid! [...]
Dall'album di prossima uscita Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy, Let Your Crooked Hands By Holy, la cui uscita è prevista per Settembre... Múm - Dancing Behind My Eyelids.mp3 Posted by hallustaff_records | Commenti | Email this

Just to brighten up your upcoming weekend, I'd like to share a track that Múm just released from their upcoming Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy, Let Your Crooked Hands Be Holy LP (via Pitchfork ). The new track is called "Dancing Behind My Eyelids"; I miss Kristín Valtýsdóttir's voice (she left the band), but apart from that it's an exceptionally good electronic pop track. Looking forward to that new album in the autumn. Múm - Dancing Behind My Eyelids [...]

I've been loving me a lot of tunes with male producers and female vocalists. To keep a long and drawn out curiosity rant short, who is this girl? (This is part wonderment, and part fun by the way - needless to say, my charts show a spike in random female vocalists just kind of showing up and leaving without proper introduction. Yes, a little bit of research could work wonders, but hey, I'm a blogger. Most likely these 2 songs do have the same girl [...]
Though it's only been three years since Summer Make Good (still a long time), it's been six years since i've listened to Múm myself as Finally We Are No One was the last record that I bought and listened to. It was extremely difficult for me to find that album at the time, as I would resort to finding music from my local music store instead of the internet. The reward was well worth the effort, as it's still one of my favorite albums to listen to alone on a lonely night. [...]
לגיאחה יש יומולדת, ולכם יש עונג יומולדת ענק ומיוחד. מה צריך להסביר יותר מזה?!

A few days ago, everyone's favorite Icelandic septet announced their plans to release their first LP in three years. From FatCat Records : It's been over 3 years since the release of múm's last album Summer make good , and a lot of water has passed under the bridge. And now finally, a string of dates over the Summer, heralding a long-awaited new album , strangely titled go go smear the poison ivy , due out 24th September 2007 . A colourful, twitching, playful work [...]
