Moombahton is the sound of the summer, and Diplo 's Mad Decent label has definitely been the leader in bringing the genre to the masses. But Mad Decent isn't just about Moombahton, though artist Dillon Francis seems to be the big thing of the moment—the label has also supported plenty of other exciting names in electronic music, ranging from the dubstep of Rusko and Kito & Reija Lee to the reggae-inspired dancehall sounds of Major Lazer to the fidgety 8-bit sounds of Boy 8-Bit, not to mention the rest of the label's awe-inspiring roster. [...]
This Saturday sees A-Trak, Mumdance, Fabio, Tayo and hotly tipped Gesaffelstien at XOYO. Pretty ridiculous lineup if I do say so myself. If I can muster up the energy after Lovebox and Snoop Drizzle,... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

So this gem of a mix by Joe Goddard & Full Nelson came out in April and I've been listening to it pretty regularly since. I've totally fallen in love with it; it's very much a case of the more I listen, the more I like. So imagine my surprise when I check the SoundCloud page today and spy it's only had a pitiful 230 or so plays and only 65 downloads. What's up people?! From the Casetteboy opening to Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs downplaying it with beautiful track Critisize, to Four Tet's luscious remix of Apple Bobbing [...]

In your BIO it says that it all started for you with your edit of Diplo's Black Lips remix? What's the story behind this? [...]

Gucci Goth has a self-explanatory sound. There are nine tracks on their Supersonic IIII mixtape, we would've listened solely for at least six of them. Unsurprisingly, House of Ladosha's Cokeola delivers the metaphorical babality: I'm a hungry man's breakfast/ oatmeal sounds good, but they don't eat that in the hood/ I'm going HAM. This is [...]

Last friday I met Daniel Dexter of the Acidkids again. He was playing at the infamous Crux Club with Mumdance. Everybody knows that I hang out a lot over there and so I had a little conversation with him about bavarian food, booze and music. Was a pretty funny night, as long as anybody brought a bottle of Held-Vodka along and we had a massive drink fest which ended up in a bizarre situation where I was djing (accidentally) and the Acdikids left the club without saying good bye (or can't I just remember?). Anyways.. haha. Dex sent me the Greek [...]
