The morning is a bit chillier than yesterday's but is just as pretty. The sun makes all the difference. Every morning now seems to take me a bit longer to retrieve the papers because I stop to admire my front garden. I forgot how many bulbs were planted last fall so the garden is a gift, a present, filled with color and all sorts of spring flowers which delight me. The trio is touring in support of their sixth album The 2nd Law, which was released by Warner Bros. Records in October of 2012. The day is a delight with sunny skies and a temperature in the high 502s. Gracie has been out all morning. I will join her in a bit as the feeders need filling, and I need sun. Prior to the April 6 NCAA Final Four match, Muse performed The 2nd Law single "Madness" to a crowd gathered at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park. While the song's official video featured armed police, frontman Matt Bellamy kept the mood light as he leaned in toward the camera, showing off his lyric-displaying sunglasses. I appreciate Grip Of The Gods’ boldness; such a name is a definite assertion of expectation. While their new EP, Take , is not exactly a divine grasp, it will grip and capture you nonetheless. Grip Of The Gods display a sure knack for variation, as their EP constantly shifts between more straightforward, distorted guitar-driven alternative rock, and a spacey, effects driven, Muse-esque space and alternative sound. I have the sniffles and what feels like an entire percussion section in my head trying to bang their way out. Spring is in hiatus. My furnace is blasting away, and I'm glad as the house was cold this morning. Easter was wonderful. The sun was shining the whole day in celebration. Dinner was perfect. Our table was at a window overlooking the water. Just for the fun of it, we brought a light up bunny from the Easter basket to decorate the table. Miss Bunny was pink with flowered fabric hands and ears, a lace collar and lights which blinked and she was quite the conversation piece. Mother Nature is spoiling us with these sunny days and blue skies. It is chilly still but not cold, true sweatshirt weather. Fern is sprawled and napping in the sun streaming through the front door while Gracie and Maddie are napping elsewhere. I just watched Godzilla which I haven't seen in years. It made me laugh. Most of the film is still in Japanese so scenes with Raymond Burr were inserted so we'd know what the heck was going on. He spends the entire movie looking straight ahead and doing voice-overs.
