This is a dangerous practice since head-back wailing is not conducive to spotting the babe across the street who just rounded the corner and is now fully judging you. But sometime it has to be [...]

Then my style might Body Ya! … This was the second song on that list that Hector sent me a few days ago, the title reminds me of another song I enjoy by an artist I work with that I play all the time. It ended up becoming the third song that I would review by default and third, in this case, definitely proved to be a charm. This song just flows right and the vocals sit in a great space alongside the main electric piano, which an engineer colleague of [...]

Last Friday night, we made our way over to Bottom Of The Hill, where The Hundred Days and Music For Animals were set to deliver a 1-2 punch of rock and roll awesomeness. Both bands delivered sets led by incredibly (albeit distinctively) charismatic frontmen, and both delivered sets that were solidly upbeat enough to keep the crowd dancing all night long. The Hundred Days were the first on stage, and the band delivered a set that unquestionably recalled the dark pop [...]
San Francisco's Music for Animals have been playing their delicious pop tunes since 2006. Their latest single, "If Looks Could Kill" has been on repeat this morning. The songs catchy dance hooks just get ya as does the solid guitar riffs and deep bass. When lead singer, Jay Martinovivh, drops his smooth, easy voice over the track, you have some feel good dance music. enjoY! Music for Animals - If Looks Could Kill

Noise Pop Death March begins! What with all the head-turning headliners, it can be easy to miss one of the major highlights of Noise Pop : loads of interesting openers. This is where you find the gems - these are no random acts thrown on by the label or venue, each show has like three opening bands that have all been given the once-over by someone who was paying attention. As I've said repeatedly and with relish, festivals are where you get the chance to see a ton of acts you've never heard or even [...]
