12. Midlake Courage of Others - TBA Unfortunately I could find next to nothing on this album, other than the fact that it is being recorded right now in their hometown Denton, TX. Everything I have comes from an interview they did with Stereogum back in November, which didn't reveal a whole lot, other than it isn't goin to sound like "Roscoe" or "Head Home," two songs I adored from their previous work. But I will be sure to write about the record with more [...]

This is a late post for this performance. but rightly so. We really couldn't find a video anywhere else of Mute Math's "Spotlight", which was performed on January 15th on the Jay Leno Show. The video below isn't in great quality, but if you've been rummaging around the Internet for it, this is the best we could find. Seems NBC has their hands on YouTube deleting any reproduction of this video. No need to adjust your volume, whoever recorded this turns up the volume about 20 seconds into their shaky recording. Bear with us, this isn't great quality, [...]

He beats the drums and the lights flash along accordingly. It probably doesn't make sense reading about it so just watch below. Mute Math are currently in the studio working on their second album due in Spring of 2009. The guys are getting lots of attention right now with the inclusion of their new track [...]

Most will know Mute Math as "those guys with the backwards video" or "those guys who sang the Transformers Movie theme song"... the Michael Bay/Shia LaBeouf/Megan Fox blockbuster. But there is much more to them than that. The band's roots are in Christian Rock, but they have purposefully distanced themselves from that in a bid to court Contemporary Rock fans. And so Mute Math seem determined to enter the Modern [...]

Well it looks like Mute Math began promoting their latest work and just couldn't wait to premier one of their latest songs from the studio. You can check out our previous post on Mute Math showing a video from these recordings. Their first song [...]

Technically New Jersey considering the venue where Saturday's Download Festival occurred resides just across the Delaware River in Camden, NJ. Regardless of its actual location, Download: Philadelphia, run by Live Nation and partnered with SPIN, was a great (if exhausting) day filled with even better music. Leave it to Live Nation and SPIN to put [...]
