What's up everybody? Enjoying that time of seasonal change? Better yet, enjoying going back to school ? Hey, all of that's alright. Getting into the new routine is what makes change all the more interesting. Sure, one month ago you were lounging by the pool while surfing the web, but now you're listening to your teacher talk about electrons while surfing the web. Oh, how the times change. Here at Cluster 1, though, our routine is always changing in order to get you the freshest and dopest video content out there. And as your routines change, one thing will [...]

Sleepwalking is a tune from My Jerusalem's Gone For Good full-length, but it's been floating around the band's tacklebox for a while. I think it's actually the first song the Jerus shared with us, and we've heard it evolve, re-arrange and remix, and now, we finally get to see it brought to little screens everywhere. The video was directed by Jess Carfield and cinematography duties performed by Chris Heinrich, who has been known to pop up on record and onstage with Preston School of Industry, Sleepercar, and [...]
Yesterday we shared My Jerusalem's shiny new video for Proposition , a little something we got our grubbies on simply because we were chatting to frontman Jeff Klein about the holidays (not to mention prayer candles and fancy britches for the womenfolk ). Right time, right place. Nothing left to do now except present Klein's side of the story, along with a cherry remix of Sleepwalking courtesy of musical alchemist and Minneapolis homeslice, Dosh . MP3 : My Jerusalem - Sleepwalking [...]
My Jerusalem is clearly gaining steam heading into the new year. The ink is barely dry on full-length debut Gone For Good , and yet reports persist that the band has an EP's worth of new material ready to roll. No doubt those new tunes will be road tested on the band's January 2011 European tour, and nice and tight come their inevitable SXSW dates and subsequent Spring jaunt across the U.S. Speaking of new stuff, here's the band's very new (I feel like we hacked their email on this [...]
Its no wonder that I like My Jerusalem's album Gone For Good as it fits nicely near Twilight Singers, Mark Lanegan, and Gutter Twins with its red wine late nighters, smokey visions, and other rock tails. Then again, that's no surprise as singer-songwriter Jeff Klein has some heavy touring connections to the aforementioned. Stream a couple tracks here and pre-order here .
Haven't talked much about Jeff Klein as of late, but the man is always up to something. He's currently out on the road supporting his Death Of The Fox EP ( get it here ), and tantalizing us with Love You When You Leave , the first single from My Jerusalem's debut full-length, Gone For Good , which will hit the bins on September 6th. Until then, enjoy his homage to the [...]
Evidently, while the rest of us were waiting in line for H1N1 vaccines and getting fat this winter, our favorite bands were holed up in studios recording more songs than they could ever use. Last week we told you about Marah's ongoing outtake garage sale , and now we're happy to announce that MOKB-approved My Jerusalem is throwing their hat into the musical rag and bones fray. The Austin-based band, who teased us last year with Without Feathers , is prepping their full-length One Little Indian [...]

Great Indie Cover Songs Uncovered, Vol. III: The Black Keys, The Golden Bloom, Ruby Isle, Shearwater, Franz Ferdinand, Nada Surf
We absolutely love cover songs. It's probably because, most of the time, they are like something that is familiar but new, which is an interesting dichotomy in and of itself. Plus, recording cover songs can be a risky venture for almost any artist; the more well-known and beloved the original song, the more scrutinized any [...] Read more, get songs or stream the entire mix on Indie Rock Cafe

HIGHLIGHTS: SXSW 2011 Day 2, 3/17/2011
St. Patrick's what? The holiday went nearly unnoticed on the second day of SXSW, where the performances were all about high energy, dance parties, folk influences, and coed vocals - sometimes all at once.

My Jerusalem – Gone For Good
When your band is made up of members of other big acts such as The Twilight Singers and Polyphonic Spree then there's a certain amount of expectation, a weight on the shoulders, if you will. My Jerusalem were unveiled at the SXSW festival last year to a plethora of critical acclaim while promoting their Without Feathers EP. About a year and a half since their first effort they have returned with their first full length, Gone for Good . The album straddles the indie and Americana genres, taking influence from the likes of [...]

Top 50 of 2009 :: 20-11 [You've been acting awful tough lately]
20. Neko Case - "People Got A Lotta Nerve"Neko Case is to animal metaphors what Siegfried and Roy are to dangerous jungle cats. She manages to compare love to a taming of a wild, completely undomesticated animal. "You know, they call them killer whales," Case elaborates, "but you seem surprised when it pinned you down to the bottom of the tank where you can't turn around?" The supposition is that
