It's been a long time, I shouldna... yeah you know it. I'm back just like all your favourite rappers everytime they bring out a new LP. Here's some dope stuff to step to: Loudmouth Melvin's 'Summer Breeze' has a summery vibe (can you believe it?), a suitably silly chorus and some British Jay-Z type lyrics! It's taken from an E.P. he's putting out in August so watch for that. I know I said I wasn't going to check any Jacko tributes but this is Sway, and 'The King Full Stop' is properly [...]
Mystro dropped this one on the radio the other night. It's his version of Drake's 'Best I Ever Had' on which the UK Mic hero ignores Jay-Z's 'D.O.A.' declaration and goes all autotune on us. He also brings jokes on this track taken from forthcoming mixtape 'The Standard' as he chats about dirty girls - the sort who don't clean up. This is a radio rip rap. Second track tonight is Professor Green 's 'Ballers Is Bouncin' (London)' which is produced by Quincey Tones. Proving that a bottle attack can't slow him down [...]

Australian band (but not a band in its traditional sense, they'd have us know) Resin Dogs released their album 'More' this month. It's a Hip Hop affair featuring voices from the US, the UK and Australia – a fact that keeps each track fresh and different. Haiku D'etat (Aceyalone, Mikah 9 and Abstract Rude) do the opening honours with 'Coming With The Sound' and they set things off on a very good foot – headnods and singalongability. Oneself MC BluRum 13 follows up with 'End Game' with a cool, calm and collected manifesto. Disco beats abound on [...]
Here's Reveal's (from Poisonous Poets) exclusive freestyle for DJ Gone. DJ Gone released his 'Sin City' mix CD now and if you aint got it yet then get over to his website and buy it for cheap . He's also got a few more of these for you over at youtube , including raps from Mystro and Kyza.

Gots to check out the new Suspect Packages Radio Show with Disorda and special guests Micall Parknsun and Joker Starr. Tracks included are by Knew Jeru'slum, SonnyJim and Kosyne, the new UK Hip Hopsupergroup Orphans of Cush (Kyza Smirnoff, M9, Masikah & Cyrus Malachi), Mystro, Mr. Scruff and Roots Manuva and loads more including a ton of Joker Starr and Micall Parknsun exclusive material. Check it out here and now.

Here's my (un-edited) review of YNR's 'Feeding Time At The Zoo', originally written for and published in HHC Digital 002 , it was their album of the month: What with UK Rap and its Marmite status, this release will probably provoke one of two reactions: "Yawn, backpack rap - boring" or "Finally some decent Hip Hop in this Grime-addled scene". I'm going to imagine you're of that second opinion: after all, you're not reading this in Angling Times. The new and improved roster of friends and family proves [...]

Camden's Jazz Cafe sees the launch party for the YNR compilation Feeding Time at the Zoo tomorrow night. Check out the flyer for the line up. Exactly. Everyone you see here features on the release, so it looks to be a right goodun . To wet your appetites before the feeding frenzy, you can pilfer an mp3 below. Mystro on mic duties, Jehst on beats - you can't argue with that, so don't bother. Just be sure to buy it when it drops on the 25 th or an animal [...]

If my memory serves me correctly YNR's return to the fore of UK Hip Hop is scheduled for 25th May. Having already dropped Sir Smurf Lil's set and Jyager's LP the label are preparing to drop their compilation entitled 'Feeding Time At The Zoo'. I've already written my review for it but since it was written for HHC I'll let them premiere it! Safe to say with a list of artists like this (Joker Starr, Jehst, Jyager, Kyza, Chemo, Beat Butcha, Jack Flash, DJ IQ, Double D Dagger, SonnyJim, Kelakovski, Kashmere, Mystro, Micall Parknsun, Cappo, Dubbledge, Sir Smurf [...]

The tracklist for DJ Gone's 'Sin City', out now on Kung Fu, kinda speaks for itself to any UKHH head. Featuring the cream of the scene and in the vein of Kung Fu's showcasing 'Sin City' is over an hour's worth of exclusive freestyles and tracks - it's basically a must for those fans who strive for more than an artist's album and single output. It's also pretty essential for anyone who just wants to bump quality Hip Hop for an hour. Poisonous Poets, Mystro, TB, M9, Charlie Sloth, Million Dan, Mr [...]

1xtra's Sarah Love shows love for the UK in this weeks show . The majority of UK features are part of a UK spotlight mix although Jehst and Jack Flash feature elsewhere in the show alongside a load of other great Hip Hop. Good to see someone on 1xtra doing what we all thought 1xtra would do in the beginning. Her best of UK spotlight tracklist goes exactly like this: Kashmere – 'The Jazz' Evil Ed & Conspicous ft Shabam – 'The Ill Out' Asaviour – 'Beefy' [...]

I just got off a plane from the west coast, had 12 hours in New York, now I'm heading back to the airport to go the Roskilde Festival. I had to rush this edition because I had 400+ submissions to go through in such a short time, but I promise the submissions I didn't get to WILL be listened to next week. Thanks for all the support this week friends! Remix Sunday 120 Zipped Up [231mb zipfile] White Williams - " Violator " (Stay High Remix) A Girl & A [...]
