It's been a long time coming (and something that'll make my K-pop Krazy friend Prophet Blog wet himself with delight), but it's time I finally acknowledged the wonder and splendor of the force known as Girls' Generation . Now, I myself am more of a J-Pop connoisseur than K-Pop girl group guru (I go hard for Utada Hikaru , Namie Amuro , Koda Kumi and Ayumi Hamasaki in particular), but it's all but impossible not to notice the extraordinary influence of Korean girl groups making their way overseas. She loves those knee high boots doesn't she? Anyway, Flawless
Amuro Namie - #1 feat. Kawabata Kaname (CHEMISTRY) from f908821 on Vimeo . I love how this goddess can be fully clothed and still ooze the same- if not more, amount of sexiness of a barely clothes chick younger than her. Bless her! This is who young girls needs to be looking of to! You can't get anymore classy than Namie, you just can't.
Nice, Namie is glorious. *cries*

Well, here's a song that's good. Neon Hitch is the self-described gypsy type who's been all the rage over the interwebz as of late as one of pop's most intriguing up-and-coming chanteuses. (No, but really, she's got quite the colorful background-she used to be in the circus as both a trapeze artist and a fire swinger for one thing.) After inking a publishing gig with EMI and co-penning/singing back up for acts like Ke$ha ("Blah Blah Blah") and 3OH!3 ("Follow Me Down"), Hitch was signed to Warner [...]

Mya 's back! Much like every other act this side of the '102s, Mya's gone and shed her R&B roots in favor of a good ol' synth machine to assist in her dance-inspired return to the music scene-perhaps inspired by her recent stint on the ninth season of Dancing With The Stars . Well...that, or she's gone and listened to Pop radio for, like, fifteen minutes to see what the kids are listening to these days. To my giddy delight, the singer will attempt to break two major territories at the same time: [...]

Ok you know how much I love Namie, right? Well some kind soul upload the Past < Future tour! Man her face is glorious. Click this to watch.
Her beauty is undeniable but she was lazy and dead in this video for me. I sorry... I don't like the song or the video. I really like the song and this video is simple and beautiful.
I like the music but.... she needs to switch things up for me a little bit for me. I think I like the mid-tempo song better then the upbeat one.
This is rumored to be another new single from the Queen of Japan. I haven't really listened to it yet so I have no opinion but I'm sure it great, I mean, it is Amuro we are dealing with here.
Me no likey. Why did it seem like Namie didn't even want to be their. lol And AI ugh... This song needs more Namie and less of the blue hair woman who needs to lose weight.
Is it me but... where is Namie? The song is okay.
Once again, Namie Amuro has returned to the electro-tinged hip-hop side of life. Judging from this small sample, "Break It" is already better than most of Past < Future . Fierce choreography, infectious pulsations...can't we start from scratch and build a new album with all three 60s70s80s tracks ("Rock Steady," "New Look," and "WHAT A FEELING") plus this and "WILD"? THAT is the Namie I know and love.
I didn't want to post this video. Why? Well... Because there is no Namie in it. I know shocking, right? Why would I want to watch something she isn't in? That ridiculous! Go ahead. Check. she isn't in it. At All! Because it is Namie I had to post it. I can't call myself a true supporter if I don't. And its not like the song is bad, I like it. There's... just... no... [...]

...is that it's ironically titled. Past < Future is certainly not Namie Amuro 's best work. After trying three times, I have absolutely no desire to revisit the album, aside from "WILD," and perhaps "Dr." and "Love Game." Otherwise, nothing sticks. It's all a bit noisy, boring, and generic...all at the same time. Sorry, Namie...try as I might, it's not working for me in the slightest.

Neben oft billigem [...]
New Namie Amuro ! But before you get too excited, no-this is not a Lady Gaga cover. In fact, before you get excited at all, the song's actually not very good either. I love me some Namie like no one's business, but is anyone else a bit concerned about the Past < Future campaign as of late? None of the songs have actually won me over aside from "WILD." Where's all the hip-pop at, Amuro? To be fair, the video is gorgeous. But still...
