Think what you will about his name, but I'm pretty sure that after you're done listening to this you'll tell me it wasn't warning enough... Zeds Dead is spreading like a plague. More and more by the day they become a household name, as they should. They take electro and dubstep and all sorts of bass music and smash it together with their own twist for very unique music and live shows that most of you can't get enough of. I feel like every new Zeds track sound like completely unlike anything I've ever heard. Scope their Adrenaline EP if you missed it, as well the seriously must hear TSIS Premiere Divine (Danger Remix) (Zeds Dead Re-Remix) . Well this [...]

NastyNasty's "Acid Hangover" is one romp around some strange ass sounds. Apparently, he created this after riding his cruiser bike around an abandoned San Joe while on Acid - sounds about right to me. It's like nothing I've ever heard before, which is exactly why I like it. Maybe throw in some Bay Area raps and this would have San Fran music written all over it. Also, just wondering - is it me or does this have that "Nookie" drum pattern at the start? [...]
Sounduo is pleased to announce the release of their debut album, "Departures," on Made In Glitch music. I had the honor of being an opening DJ for their show last year in Orlando thanks to the dudes at Xplosive Entertainment. Equally melodic and heavy, this deep collection of 8 tracks showcases their progression as [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here again! Welcome back! If you're not already familiar with Wobble Wednesday, that's okay - we want to make your first time amazing. Most of what you'll be listening to here is often referred to as dubstep, but can encompass all genres of heavy bass music. To quote bass music artist ill.Gates, "When you look at what some of the bigger dubstep guys are doing now, they'll play some dubstep, they'll play some drumstep, they'll plays some breaks, some drum and bass, and maybe some dance hall." That's what Wobble Wednesday is all about. [...]

The organizers over at SnowGlobe Music Festival have started "leaking" out the names of the other bands fit for the bill. While they say it's not official yet, this post on Twitter implies that they're clearly not really concerned with making it obvious or not. They tweeted out names of bands and links to YouTube [...]

Wobble Wednesday is here to get you through the hardest part of your week. The smooth, sub-bass of the "old school" sounds are still being produced today. This is 70/140BPM bass music designed to calm your soul. It draws heavily from the ragga, jungle, reggae, dub, grime and garage genres. For lack of a better description, the music on Wobble Wednesday is dubstep that embodies the very reggae/dub roots from which dubstep arose. Come back every Wednesday for Wobble Wednesday – and stay tuned to Earmilk for the evil side of dubstep on [...]

So the story goes: one man wanted pizza, the other wanted to party. Three tracks, each brilliantly produced, just waiting to be cut and mixed to aid in the creation of phenomenal DJ sets across the globe. You may remember when Proto wrote up a primer for Pizza Party , but now the release is available in full on NiT GriT's Bandcamp page . Pizza Party is the new collaborative EP between Nit Grit and Stephan Jacobs , a novel pair who bring big things to the table. The [...]

So scenesters and hipsters everywhere are agreeing that R'n'b is, in fact, no longer a dirty word… thanks, in part, to the arrival of The Weeknd. That said, the dubstep and garage scene have had a long-standing affair with R'n'B vocals; and, more recently, house producers have also kindled a certain fondness for the sexy and sleazier side of pop (Lee Foss and Hot Creations, anyone?). And it is perhaps this coupling of soul and dubstep arrangement that makes The Weeknd so appealing. House of Balloons is the debut of Toronto-based Abel [...]

Still in Hawaii and loving it. But I didn't forget you all out there. Just hard findning some speedy internet at these hotels. Swear I'm back at the dial-up age. Though I am no great advocate of The Weeknd , that style isn't quite for me, I definitely respect the source material. In fact I respect pretty much everything the guy is doing at the moment, but his music lacks some elements which prevent me from really getting into it. NastyNasty adds this certain something to the debut opener, High for This . Killer 808 beats propel the song into greatness and I can't wait to hear this in some club, blasting out and dancing my arse off. Download here .

As the festival circuit grows more crowded with each lineup announcement and ticket sell-out, it's never been more essential that a music fest provide more than just music and fun in the sun, offering everyone - from casual music fans to the hardcore festival aficionado - a consistently fresh and rewarding experience. Judging by the manner with which its organizers have been forging their very unique identity since 1996, Lightning in a Bottle is surely one of the finest festivals around, combining a festival experience unlike any other (where else could you find electro-superstar Pretty Lights, fire-dancers, and a lecture on [...]

I'm getting ready for some bass-y goodness up in the mountains this summer. The annual Sonic Bloom Festival is back with a new venue this year, "complete with multiple fire-pits, a pond, chill zones, art installations, workshops, vending, yoga, performances and a next-level sound and light show experience." It'll be a weekend full of community, great electronic music, breathtaking scenery, and plenty of dancing. This year's festival will be held at Shadow's Ranch in Georgetown, Colorado - which supposedly has a river running through the festival grounds - so I expect the venue to be a [...]

NastyNasty is a name that has been shaking the west coast scene with a magnitude usually reserved for Richter scale readings. NastyNasty is a Bay area purveyor of that spectacular laser-bass sound that I love so much. He's been in the scene a while and can often be seen collaborating with other area artists such as Eprom, Comma, NiT GriT , and Epcot. His production has a stylistically unique sound to it-glitch hop as it should be. It's hard to hear what NastyNasty can do and walk away unsatisfied-check out Laser Sword (Hardly Strictly) [...]

Click image to download full album Sounds like: Mimosa, NastyNasty, PANTyRAiD "Soulstice - Changes (MartyParty Remix)" What's so good? I saw an interesting interview with MartyParty on YouTube recently. He talked about how he thought bass music is going to overtake hip hop because it creates so much raw energy. He references the fact that "people are getting a little tired of four [...]

LessThan3 favorite NiT GriT (pictured) is relentless, releasing hit after hit with his own signature twist on dubstep and its related genres. This time he brings us a refreshing new take on Metric's Gold, Guns, Girls -an instant classic worth checking out if you are unfamiliar with it. A collaboration with his "homie" Stephan Jacobs, this remix is a drum'n'bassy, dubsteppy, glitchy mesh of genres that maintains the high quality standards we've come to expect. Jacobs' influences definitely set this track apart from some of NiT GriT's original work and the beautiful blend certainly [...]

Today I have for you some beautiful wobbles that will surely get your head bobbing . First we have Datsik's new banger King Kong with Bare which is a bass booster and is pretty fast pace but I feel that the wobbles blend nicely with the melody. I feel most artist collaborate and then one takes over the other sound wise. You can see the nice blend of both in this track. There's just something about Legend of Zelda Remixes I just love and I rest my case with [...]
I told you I would be back on Sunday even though my weekend was pretty epic. I got to go back stage at ZEDS DEAD and party with DC and Hooks. Yeah YOU HEARD ME. Epic weekend. Now lets stop being jealous and get ready for some delicious bass that I have prepared for you, with some [...]
