Weekend 1 of Coachella 2012 closes out with the reunion of At The Drive-In, Fitz and the Tantrums' new track, and even a hologram of Tupac. One word: epic.

What a treat this performance was for all the folks in attendance for Coachella last night. With Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg commanding a killer set, the West Coast legends brought on a ton of special guest, dead and alive. Along with Eminem and 50 Cent, we also got glimpses of visuals representations of Tupac along with a photo tribute to Nate Dogg. This has got to be a hip-hop first.

Day three of weekend one of Coachella 2012 is in the books, and you can replay Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's entire headlining performance below. The rumors proved true as the guest-heavy performance featured appearances by Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Warren G, and holograms of Tupac (!) and Nate Dogg. The career-spanning setlist kicked off with "The New Episode", "Gin N Juice, and "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang". There's not really much point me saying much about Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg's performance at Cochella earlier today. This is definitely a case where it's best to let the pictures do the talking. Or holograms, as the case may be. In a move that is usually the reserve of sci-fi films and Take That shows, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are planning on bringing Tupac and Nate Dogg back to life through the use of holograms at their Coachella set this weekend. The appearances of living rap stars such as Eminem, Warren G and Kendrick Lamar is so 2011 baby. 2012 is the year of holograms, and we're right behind it. In fact, I'd like to go to a festival where all the people attending are holograms?

This isn't exactly breaking news, but it's not every day you get to write about a deceased man entertaining an audience. TMZ reports that Dr. Dre intends to make damn sure his close friend and West Coast ally is remembered during his Coachella performance. He's gone so far to ensure this that he's having Nate Dogg perform alongside him. Only, as a hologram. Sources confirmed to TMZ that hologram technology will be used to project him on stage during Dr. Dre's Sunday performance. Well, this should be interesting: According to TMZ , Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's Coachella performance will feature an appearance by the late Nate Dogg. Using the same technology that broadcast Mariah Carey's image simultaneously across five stages last year, a hologram of the R&B crooner will be projected onto the stage. According to TMZ, Dre and Snoop Dogg will also be joined by Kurupt, Warren G, and Daz Dillinger during the performance. Warren G previously announced that he'd be appearing alongside Eminem and Dillinger, but has since backtracked from those comments.

Nate Dogg might have passed away last year, but that's not stopping him from performing at this year's Coachella . Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, who will also be joined by the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Warren G, were able to secure hologram technology that will allow the late singer's image to appear onstage in hologram form. This is some Star Wars shit, y'all, and who knows what this will lead to in the future. CRAZY.
