A blissfully relentless and enjoyable stream of remixes are still coming out of the Radiohead camp. Based on inventiveness and originality alone, I don't think anyone is complaining. The tracks below didn't make it onto The King Of Limbs Remix project out of sheer volume rather than quality. The 3 mixes will now be sold [...]

After finishing my exams in May, my unemployment status forced me to waste my time with box-sets and porn; particularly Boardwalk Empire and screenshots of Miss Paz de La Huerta. Two months later, having romanticized the show, I jet off to Coney Island in New York City, because I'm convinced that the boardwalk is in Coney Island. (Despite it really being in Atlanta) After witnessing the entire fan base of The Jersey Shore , my romantic notion of a walk on the boardwalk disintegrates into a 40 degrees walk [...]

Consider the sole electronic artisan. To what extent can one really familiarise with the man behind the machine? Discuss. Answer: never. This is primarily since other human beings always instinctively latch on to the human voice. Even though the singer often adapts a persona, how many pop instrumentals are there? Not very many. As of late, Nathan Fake has been inadvertently blessed by alternative music's elite. He was one of the chosen few selected to remix a given track from Radiohead's The King Of Limbs [...]
Hear The Track HereLike most musicians, I have a little stash of other people's songs that I play in my own rehearsal space, just for the practice and joy of actually playing a piece of music I like. Also like most musicians, I tend to have a few of the greats in that catalog, a couple of God's Own Works being notable amongst them. Now just in case you are wondering when Himself became a

Nathan Fake is the Norfolk born and bred precocious young heir to the UK electronica throne who has kept fans of fuzzy-edged synths and maximal acidic techno beats alike guessing ever since his debut release at the tender age of 19. Early piano lessons floundered when it came to learning to read music: deciding that this level of abstraction was that little bit too abstract for him, however the limitations of his formal classical training have in no way hindered him in his pursuit of professional success. Now based at the centre of the action in London town, from his [...]

AUDIOVISUALS : Wavves - Post Acid It's lo-fi, it's trippy, it's summery, it's got whack visuals and features an Alien (played by pro skater Kevin "Spanky" Long); and altogether works perfectly with the song's vibe. This latest release from the band continues the prevalent representation, exploration and appreciation of all things drug related, their album artwork for ' King of the Beach ' is after all a cartoon cat below a pot leaf holding a joint… Enjoy the video, though it may be a little too trippy if [...]

words: Jamie Milton scribed for MusicOMH The best means of leaving your critics dumbfounded is through an act of sheer excellence, one that arrives completely out of the blue. Wavves (Nathan Williams) has repeated the act of 'Napoleon Dynamite's' Jamiroquai dance, David Beckham's career revival following a 1998 World Cup sending off; he's risen from the dead, making an album that very few deemed him capable of. And of course, it's full of all the angsty fight-backs that you'd expect from a man on [...]

This song is just OK. It shows that GaGa made it way before she became what she is today, merely from the hairdo. I prefer the Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel version much better. I love going to music festivals. I also love free. Free music festivals within a 30mi radius of me = no-brainer. This was my second free festival this summer ( see Tom Williams' Siren Festival Review ). God bless you, failing economy! The Host (C+) WFNX seemed to be a little all over the place. They didn't get back to us in time for press pass info, so I tried to get one on my own. The poor girl at the [...]

I'm mostly posting on this new UK cat 'cos his track, "Dirty Sexy Money" samples Justice 's "Genesis" - CRAZY! He's like a college-age Chris Brown , vocally but his other track, "Superwoman" is kind of typical, generic R&B balladry. Could he win in the US though? I've long since given up trying to predict that sh-t! Check it and decide for yourself: Nathan - "Dirty, Sexy, Money" [ mp3 download links : limelinx stream | yousendit ] Nathan - [...]

(Seriously, The Native Americans Called Coney Island "The Land Without Shadows" And I Can See Why) I've never been to Coney Island before, nor have I ever attended Siren Festival,... By virtue of the marvellous ambiguity of the English language, you can read that title two ways: Nathan and Mandy, the husband-and-wife musical duo who together are Ghost In The Water, do actually live in Minneapolis (I know where, but I'm not telling you or you'll stalk them and try and steal their glockenspiel); AND on Friday 20th March they're playing live, as in a gig/show, in the fine city of Minneapolis. The show is dubbed an Electropop Birthday Dance Party to celebrate Nathan and Mandy's birthdays (Happy Birthday guys!). It's at 923 Washington Avenue, North [...]

From the opening out-of-tune bars of 'If I Could Do It All Again' through to the rambling 'Midlands Anthem' one can't help feeling disappointed with 'Baby Food'. Sure, the album has its good moments, but for someone considered a pro, it's awfully amateurish. The '100% Sample Free' approach was an admirable idea but, you know, if it aint broke, don't fix it. Some of Baby J's usual vibe is captured on this new record; his ear for a catchy tune and his ability to attract good guests are the evident remainders of his past work. Singles [...]
