Stratosphere by Natti f. Deacon The Villain Originally recorded for inclusion on the soundtrack to 20102s "Just Wright" starring Queen Latifah & Common but ultimately left off, "Stratosphere" finds Natti playing the role of a rags-to-riches court hustler with his eyes on the prize. Will be included as a bonus track on Natti's upcoming "Higher Enlightenment EP".

Having broken onto the scene in 2008 with one of the best summer albums I've yet to hear, things went awfully quiet for Natty . His debut Man Like I never took off commercially in the ways it probably should have and as a result he dropped off the radar. If you're not familiar with the album, get acquainted with July and Coloured Souls . During the downtime, he spent some time discovering his African roots in the motherland and returned from his travels with [...]

CunninLynguists Rocking The Crowd In Manchester (UK) Photos & event review by Artskiee We were eased into the night by DJ Flip Flop playin' out a bunch of classic tunes all the while being smug with ourselves for getting what were probably the best seats in the house (the venue had a small balcony right above the stage that held about 8 people) we waited patiently from 7pm til 9:30 admiring Flip Flops selection and scratch skills. PackFM hit the stage with probably more energy than the [...]

The first teaser from CunninLynguists upcoming album "Oneirology"

It's all action stations once again here at AGOMWAB. That's right folks, after a prolonged period of enforced silence (due to me embarking on a ten day sabbatical where I contemplated the fate of the world from atop a mountain overlooking the Turkish plains... okay, so I really just went on holiday), I'm back and rearing to deliver you some more of that uncut raw. But enough of this talking. Let's get back in the swing of things with some (guilt) free [...]

So I've had a little while to go get some new material and here's what I've found. First up is new material from the London based Mystery Jets . Flash a Hungry Smile is the first track we've heard since the Erol Akan produced Twenty One . To me it's got something of a sixties sound. However with a good tune and catchy lyrics this is a sixties sound you will be hearing a lot of in the future. Mystery Jets-Flash a Hungry Smile [...]

It's only a couple weeks since we featured new material from our favourite Reggae boy from North London and it looks like Natty's eager for us to hear more of his recent stints in the studio. The title hints at a possibly gritty tale of London however it's light-hearted. We wanted gritty! Still decent song and look forward to the bigger sounds from the upcoming album. James Morrison We went to see Girls Aloud last week - hooray! - and were struck by how great their cover of James Morrison 's 'Broken Strings' sounded. Duly-inspired, we sat down for a quick chat with Mr Morrison ahead of his latest US single release, ' Precious Love ', which has just gone to radio 'over the pond'. Morrison also recently completed a successful stateside tour with the lovely Adele , so with all these pop ladies knocking on his door you won't be surprised to hear [...]

The Reggae genre is a strange one for me - I occasionally hear the odd pirate reggae radio station when I'm in the car but apart from that I have no real interest in the modern day genre. Obviously Damien Marley is the biggest reggae success in the past 10 years but I can't help to wonder if his career would be different if we removed his historic family tree. That all changed for me when Natty first surfaced a couple of years ago. He was a massive breath of fresh air during a period where [...]

Words by: Will Slater It came to my attention lately that this site covers very little, or in fact no reggae music whatsoever. You could argue it's because there just aren't any great new bands of that genre at the moment right?...wrong! Being an enthusiastic lover of the reason why the world owes a massive debt to the Caribbean, I selected some songs from new and recent reggae, ska and dub musicians for you all to explore, and threw in a couple of classics for good measure! I recommend this to all you frauds out there who think [...]

Although the first post on this blog appeared over a year ago today marks the anniversary of the first post about music with mp3's, so I consider today the true anniversary of the blog. So whilest everyone is travelling across the country today and tomorrow to visit family, spending hours upon hours in the kitchen cooking and baking or just relaxing I thought I'd take today to thank everyone for visiting, commenting and emailing me. I know the past few months have been difficult for bloggers, especially some of my cover loving friends, but as long as there are people [...]
