We're still recovering from SXSW (and we left early). The week long madness of music and drinking does get tiresome, but alongside good friends at Guns In The Sun, Hit City USA, and MFG, we presented an awesome showcase on Friday featuring some of our favorite artists around right now. It started with Harriet, the on the rise Los Angeles group powered by vocalist Alex Casnoff and the deserved hit "We Slept With All Mothers." Collectively, we're bringing you some of our favorite music from the last two years. No real surprise here: Jack White will perform at this year's South by Southwest . As part of Third Man Records' official South by Southwest showcase, the company's director will headline a bill that includes Karen Elson, John Reilly & Friends, The Black Belles, and special guests White Rabbits, Reggie Watts, Natural Child, Electric Guest, and Purling Hiss. Even though the date they were supposed to play at Strange Matter last year fell through, Natural Child are back for a show tonight (Feb. 15) with two out of the three bands who they were supposed to play with last time, Nervous Ticks and Boney Loner and the Sacred Teachers .
