Bare Wires (and pretty much anything involving Matthew Melton) have been on repeat around here all summer so we were pretty excited to hear about Nectarine Pie which features Melton and a few other Oakland garage regulars. Nectarine Pie bring the harder edged guitars but with a plush hammer of a vocal delivery. The video's all in Super 8, filmed and edited by the band and the crew at Southpaw. Somehow I always get the feeling I'm on the wrong coast for garage but at least videos seem to make up for the long distance love affair. [...]
Here is the music video for Nectarine Pie's track "Dreamdaze" which featured on this blog a few weeks ago. The video was filmed by Bare Wires' Matthew Melton on Super 8 at the Piedmont Graveyard in Oakland CA. Nectarine Pie just released this new video for the band's debut single , out on July 15th on Southpaw Records (and available for pre-order now). The video, shot on Super 8 at the Piedmont Graveyard, was filmed by Matthew Melton (of Bare Wires). Nectarine Pie is performing this Thursday, June 23rd, at Sub-Mission (8pm, $5, Event Info ). Nectarine Pie is a garage band out of Oakland, CA which features members of Bare Wires. As with the The Splinters tracks posted yesterday , "Dreamdaze" was recorded Matthew Melton. This debut single will be released along with The Splinters new 7'' July 15th on Southpaw Records with the first 100 copies being limited edition colored vinyl.
