Anthony Bourdain has featured his fair share of musicians on No Reservations , including The Black Keys and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme . But last night's premiere of the show's final season especially proved why we'd really love to see a festival promoter hand over the keys to Bourdain . Chronicling his trip to this year's South by Southwest, the episode saw Bourdain get tatted up with Sleigh Bells, sample The Sword's brand of hot sauce , and drink bloody marys with Neon Indian. Watch clips from the episode below [...]

Tonight on Anthony Bourdain's Emmy Award-winning show No Reservations, Tony continues his culinary tour of Austin with Neon Indian's Alan Palomo as his tour guide. Filmed during SXSW earlier this year, the episode follows Palomo, who grew up in Texas, and Bourdain to La Mexicana Bakery for sweets and dinner and then to Lala's, where it's Christmas all the time, for bloody marys. We love us some Bourdain here at The Eargazm. Especially his article and episode about barbecue. Oklahoma Joe's is the best BBQ in Kansas City, which makes it the best BBQ in the [...]

Gorillaz vs. Neon Indian – Fallwood

Carlos Serrano mixes together Gorillaz and Neon Indian in this new track. It’s got a really chill vibe and fans of both alike will be big fans of the mix. Download: Gorillaz vs. Neon Indian - Fallwood (Carlos Serrano Mix)

Winner of Lollapalooza Saturday : JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound. Whoa. I got to Lolla early this morning so that I could see Doomtree, my pick for best Midwestern collective hip hop group, and I happened to catch the last half of JC Brooks ’ set. Brooks has a fun, funky, retro, post-punk, R&B sound going on, and the leading man has the charisma necessary to pull off this odd mixture in spades. My favorite song of the set was “ I Got High ” which came complete with Brooks’ “ weed dance .” Also, [...]

Like anything and everything, Oklahoma's The Flaming Lips once occupied a quite definitive space in time; their extraterrestrial and ever outré genre mush of ultimate timelessness musical ensuring brains be kept jellified in joy whilst their elaborate live shows consistently salvaged biceps from premature burnout. Scribing subjectively, both The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots proved formative records in incontrovertibly warping my perception of what could feasibly constitute good, bad and unsparingly ugly stuff sonic, and Wayne Coyne et al. have incontestably authored things to be bundled into each one [...]

When famous rock bands are interviewed, at some point they're asked the question "how did you come up with your name?" On the surface it seems like a pretty standard inquiry, one that can easily be answered with the blatant truth. However at some point in the past it became cool for rock stars to lie about their beginnings. Whether it was to over-imbelish a piece of their history, of just simply be dicks to a reporter, they started making up all sorts of off-the-wall things to keep people guessing. While that tactic may have helped to [...]
