Emil & Friends is based in New York (New York) and has been bumping out a cache of charming indie electronic ditties over the past year. Each layered with crispy ruffle-cut riffs and lashings of synth pop. I believe Emil & Friends must perform as a band, seeing as they have covers up on their cloud, as opposed to remixes. Everything on their cloud is really quite wicked, so be sure to take a few minutes to sample the goods below, including a super-cool cover of M832s "Midnight City". "C.U.P.I.D" is a sexual electronic r&b groove, and [...]

With their first Coachella 2012 performances a not-quite-distant memory, over the weekend some artists engaged in live collaborations to make for unique experiences in their second fest go-around. John Fogerty joined the Black Keys , Annie Clark of St. Vincent sang with Andrew Bird, and Thom Yorke came out during Modeselektor's set to perform "Shipwreck." The spine tingling magical moment of the weekend was during Radiohead at the end of "Karma Police" when the crowd continued to sing "I Lost Myself" after the band had stopped. Check out the robust gallery of photos above and [...]

21 songs of Le Miel du Mois, what the f%*k is a Monday blues? Steph is back with another installment of LMDM and it's another wonderfully eclectic blend of everything you didn't even know you loved. Stephs all-embracing approach to music is one of the reasons why LMDM has been and continue to be one of the most interesting mix tapes on any side of the globe. I don't know about you but I get bored quick fast listening to the same music or style over and over. Musical monogamy is not a concept I can get behind. [...]

To be unforgivably honest, I have nothing special planned for today. Buuuuut I'll still give you a few 'off the beaten path' tracks. Some are meant to groove, others meant for an absolute hippie freak fest (a little appropriate given this Friday, eh?). Before getting into this week's funk, watch the music video for Miami Nights [...]

Photo by: Tiffany Luong Making a pit stop in L.A. before he heads back to the desert for weekend 2 of Coachella; Neon Indian played an amazing set for a sold out crowd. Once fans got word that some tickets may be made available at the door, the line grew to massive proportions to try to get in. Unlike most shows that seem to fill up right before the headliner takes the stage. The crowd started packing in to see Tristen open [...]
Day 1 of Coachella 2012 brought the boogie to thousands at the Empire Polo Grounds.

Record Store Day is upon us. And by "upon us" I mean it's on April 21st, but it's time to start doing your research and deciding what goodies you're gonna snag on this most holy of music holidays. If you're not familiar with the holiday (or record stores) because you're a child of the internet and haven't been outside since you discovered you could order pizza online, let me enlighten you. Record stores used to be the only place you could go to get that new EP from your favorite artist. People would actually leave their homes, perhaps riding in [...]
