When the weather's hot and humidity's killing a) you can hop on to your cabriolet and drive fast while listening to some lo-fi fuzz from Nerve City or b) you can daydream while listening to some jangly surf fuzz from Nerve City. So far I've encountered Nerve City over a few recordings, cropping up on RSTB loved labels like HoZac, Kill Shaman and Sweet Rot and up to this point the music has evoked little beyond ambivalence. However, maybe I just wasn't listening with the right set of ears because his latest release, the fifth in Sacred Bones' EP series, seems to be going down quite smooth indeed.
