![David Heartbreak – The Foundation EP [Album Review]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4951671_lg.jpg)
David Heartbreak is one of the most versatile producers of this generation. His latest release, The Foundation, proves that even more. David wanted to incorporate his roots for this album and it shows. He blends his Jamaican roots perfectly with Trap, Acid, and Electro. Best of all, the vibes on this EP fit perfectly with the weather. Here's what David had to say about his latest release: "The Foundation, is just that. It's me going back to my roots of dub, hip hop and acid. It's my modern take of decades of music I grew up with infused with electronic music (elements)." [...]
Ultimate East End Lad and long time DJ bro Alex Warren, aka Kiwi, gave it all up to live the producer dream a year back now I think? And slowly but surely he's been beavering away in his bat cave [...]

David Heartbreak's VIP is insanely fun. He switches BPM from 140 to 110. Half Dubstep & Half Moombahton, this VIP is infectious! -Filippo David Heartbreak On: Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud No related posts.

The latest Nest exclusive comes from San Francisco producer, Worthy. This EP features two kick-ass tracks! Here's what Worthy had to say about his latest release: " I am really excited to have OWSLA give me the opportunity to share some of my beats with you all. In the process of writing my new album, I created these two high energy songs. Let me tell you firsthand that I have been playing these out for months now and both tracks are absolute killers in my sets. The Joint is a track that melds banging tom drums and 808s [...]

The latest treat for Nest users is a VIP from Melbourne producer Nick Thayer. Nick had this to say about his latest release: " Hey Nest Family! Here's a VIP I did of the 'What Props Ya Got' track from my Like Boom EP. The original was my attempt at exploring what happens when you put moombahton and drumstep / drum and bass together, so I fleshed that idea out a little more for this VIP." -Filippo Nick Thayer On: Facebook [...]

The latest release for Nest users comes from the funky duo, NAPT. I'm digging the funky vibes found here! Here's what the duo had to say about their latest release: " The Dockers EP was an opportunity for us to showcase our signature Surreal Party Sound. The EP sweeps from funkadelic drum workouts and deep ship horns in "The Dockers" to heavyweight house percussion, hypnotic piano and Roxy P vocals on "The Return", ending with the chunky basement house bomb "55 East". Listen as loud as possible for maximum SPS effect." [...]

This duo has been keeping quiet lately, but they're back with a massive tune! Their latest single, Chinese Finger Trap , is easily one of the biggest Trap songs released this year. Heart rattling bass combined with one of the best synths I've heard in a while make this track a must hear! Check out the song and their latest mix below. - Filippo The Juggernaut On: Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud [...]

Besser ein bisschen spät als nie: Wenige Tage nach seinem ersten Release auf Nest, dem Sub-Label von Skrillex' OWSLA, bin ich über Durante gestolpert. Seiner ersten EP "Challenger" fe...

Durante is the current OWSLA intern & to showcase all the different sounds he’s been listening lately too at the Skrillex’s offices, he created this 4-track EP titled Challenger . “i was really trying not to fall into any one genre, because at the end of the day music is just that: music. with that being said, the main focus was to have lots and lots of BASS. so make sure you listen to the tracks of Challenger with a loud subwoofer, and if you don’t have one, find a friend that does and [...]

The latest Nest Exclusive comes from another unknown producer, Durante. This four track EP is filled with some excellent four on the floor bangers. The EP kicks off with Take A Look , which is a six minute Deep House treat. The next two tracks, Radio & Challenger, lean more towards the Progressive side. Then my favorite track on the EP, Crash, ends the album with some Chill House. One of my favorite features of the Nest is that with each release is accompanied by a message from the artists themselves. Here's what Durante had to say about Challenger [...]

It's been five months since the mysterious Phuture Doom released his remix of Defiant Order exclusively for Nest members. Now he's back with a remix of an old school rave classic. Fusing Acid House and Techno, this remix is damn impressive. Take a listen below of this seven minute acid trip, and stay for his last remix! Hope we get more Doom soon. -Filippo Phuture Doom On: Facebook | Twitter [...]

When the Nest posted that their next release would be from an L.A. duo, Phantoms, I tried to do some research, but what I found was close to nothing; a Facebook page was made in 2010 but is rarely updated and worst of all I couldn't find any music. I was anticipating this release solely based on the mysteriousness of these two, and when their self titled debut EP dropped I was blown away. The three tracks on this release paint a picture of a late night rave lasting well into the morning. Combining Tech with Deep House, Phantoms have created a sound that is engaging. [...]

This LA electro-funk duo splits the difference between timeless grooves and modern flair, as exhibited here with "Do Yer Thang," the bonus track off their new EP. Often times bonus tracks can wind up sounding more like b-sides or less accomplished cuts, but that couldn't be farther from the truth with this track. It's got soul, it's got funk, and it's got a heavy dose of electro bass, which all wind together to create a propulsive, seductive jam. Spin this and turn your Monday into a Friday. Phantoms' new self-titled [...]
For some reason today I awoke two and a half hours before my alarm was set to awaken me, and could not fall back asleep. Do you have any idea how frustrating that is!? Well…actually…you probably do. I think that happens to everybody. Sorry for the momentary lapse in logic. I'm usually a bit more…with [...]

Skrillex recently announced his new subscription service The Nest which we launched with giveaway . The subscription service promised early releases from OWSLA artists and didn't give details of the first release. What better then a brand new original 3 song EP from label head Skrillex. It is titled the Leaving EP, and packs 3 brand new orginals. The track "Scary Bolly Dub" is a more typical Skrillex track with massive basslines and funky melodies. The other two came together more last minute and as he said "I made 'Leaving' in my hotel room in Mexico and [...]
It's been a while since we last heard from OWSLA label boss Skrillex . With his first original productions since "Make It Bun Dem," Skrillex is starting off the new year with a brand new EP entitled Leaving , and it's some of the most interesting material to come from the mind of Sonny Moore yet. The EP was released to fans last night via OWSLA's new subscription service the Nest , and contains three brand new originals: "Leaving," "The Reason," and "Scary Bolly Dub." Click past the break to listen to all three tracks, and subscribe to the Nest to receive [...]
