Last year, Peter Gabriel gave us the superb Scratch My Back, a cover songs album intended to be the first part of a sort of mutual appreciation project. Peter Gabriel set a strict rule for his 2010 world tour: no guitars or drums. Instead, he was backed by a 46-piece orchestra as he re-imagined his back catalog. He was so inspired by the result that he brought the orchestra into the studio and recorded 14 versions of songs from his back catalog. The result is New Blood, which hits stores on October 11th.
