Intelligence in Lifestyle magazine is the new holy grail of infographic greatness. It is a high-end Italian magazine aimed at men. The magazine is equipped with a beautiful design creatively directed by Francesco Franchi. For some of us, getting ahold of the magazine could be difficult. I know we're living in an all-interactive, 360-degree feedback world, but still can't shake the sense that for MIA to tweet a New York Times journalist's number and suggest her fans call her to rail against an article smacks more than a little of a bully's tactics. It wanted to make sure we understood she was a 'contrived cunt' who was just doing things for memes / press / coverage. In yesterday's copy of the New York Times there was a feature on M.I.A. written by Lynn Hirschberg, which it seems M.I.A. was not too pleased with. The feature was quite in-depth featuring tales from the recording process of M.I.A.'s new record /\/\/\Y/\ on a day to day scale as well as quotes from M.I.A. and others which she evidently feels did not paint a particularly complimentary picture. That's right folks, as you might have seen the announcement in the last week or two, the New York Times are streaming indie rock for the first time today. The album, The National's High Violet , will be streaming until Tuesday on the Times ' website . We're about a half-listen into the full thing while writing this, and while we're pretty into it we would note (as we did with their second leak ) that this seems like a shift from aging laments to much more angst-ridden aggressions on growing older and [...]
