I’ve been a fan of NewVillage r since their splendid debut single Rich Doors/Genghis On on twosyllable, so I was pleased to find out IAMSOUND signed the duo a while ago. They dazzled our minds a couple of weeks ago with their video for LightHouse , but their new jam Say The Code is from the same top-notch quality.

Absolutely enamored with this song, guys. "Lighthouse" is the new one from NewVillager. I have been out of the loop, apparently, as I heard this song and immediately started searching for more. Say hello to NewVillager because you should know them. We were first introduced to the duo with "Rich Door," a track from Ghostly International's Moongadet Nocturnal Suite album ( reviewed here ). It was one of our favorite songs. It still is one of our favorite songs. Didn't you idolize Le Tigre when you were growing up? Okay, if you're not a female between the ages of 20 and 30, maybe not, but they sure were a formative band for me. JD Samson is a big part of that, at least on the band's second and third albums. Anyone involved in Le Tigre is definitely a cultural force, and her new project, MEN, is certainly noteworthy. Okkervil River are getting ready to put out their latest album I Am Very Far on Jagjaguwar, and it looks like the band are prepping a lengthy tour in support of the May 10th release. The band first have a few shows around Austin and SXSW in March, but it is when things really kick off at the end of May that the band bring along some great acts with them such as Titus Andronicus , Future Islands , Julianna Barwick , and NewVillager . With Okkervil River's new album , I Am Very Far , dropping in May, and an opening performance for Arcade Fire planned for April 30th in Dallas, it was really only a matter of time before we got an extended tour announcement. Well, the wait is now over. The Austin based indie-rockers will stick close to home to kick-off the tour, playing 4 gigs over 3 days during South By Southwest .
