There's so many videos that get released daily that I don't get a chance to post. We'll try something new with "Video Rewinds" and this first post includes Canadian trio Dragonette and UK retro dance kids, New Young Pony Club. Dragonette will be hitting the road on a small club tour that will see them here in town which is one to look out for. Watching New Young Pony Club's video for "You Use to Be a Man" oozes of Vanity's video from the great Berry Gordy's "Last Dragon." "Catching bullets wit yo teeth?!" [...]

brand new single / video by New Young Pony Club directed by Laura Buckley You Used To Be A Man will be out on May 7th
Not as loud as their earlier stuff but almost more enjoyable, the NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB return with their must-watch new video, YOU USED TO BE A MAN . Forget their old stuff, get watching, you'll be loving ..
It's been a while since we heard anything from the UK's New Young Pony Club , but they're back with a new single, "You Used To Be A Man," and attendant video. They've still got that nervous bubblegum pop thing going – Tahita Bulmer's layered vocals walk a thin line between sexy and creepy as background synth drones and whistle-able, catchy riffs compete for attention with driving, complex beats. The video, directed by Laura Buckley , is fantastically weird, full of kaleidoscoping mirrors and shadows. Check it out. Continue reading: [...]

Ohh look!
New wave revivalists New Young Pony Club have a nice, new single featuring an icy post-punk beat and some lyrics that read like a good book. Liking what I'm hearing!
I love it when new releases from bands you like creep up on you. Here's the video for the forthcoming new single from Indie-Electro champions New Young Pony Club , I didn't even know they had a forthcoming new single! The clip for 'You Used To Be A Man' is directed by Laura Buckley and is as abstract as the electronic beats. The track show a more subtle, eclectic side to NYPC. We're liking it! 'You Used To Be A Man' is released 7th May. Buy New Young Pony [...]

Tomorrow's World is the unlikely musical pairing of Jean-Benoît Dunckel (Air) and Lou Hayter (New Young Pony Club) . Even though their output totals only one song and a half so far, there's something about them that really intrigues me. The pair makes spooksome, claustrophobic pop-noir specifically designed for night driving. Their first track, "So Long My Love" would be the perfect soundtrack for "Drive", were it directed by David Lynch. The production is quite inspired, weaving Lou's detached, deadpan vocals into the dark, bass-heavy soundscape. The psychedelic, distorted guitar freakout bits [...]

The Kitsuné compilation series are always something that I look forward to. Put one of those on a party and your music duties are done for an hour or two. The newest release, Kitsuné Parisien II , features a new track, titled So Long, My Love , from Air member Jean-Benoit Dunckel's side project Tomorrow's World . Contributing vocals on the track is Lou Hayter from New Young Pony Club and The New Sins. The track contains a pulsating beat with screeching noise flowing under the airy vocals of Hayter. You [...]

Pueden escuchar "So Long, My Love" aquí .

"So Long, My Love" es el primer track que podemos escuchar [...]
Air's Jean-Benoit Dunckel new side project is called Tomorrow's World, and with that outfit he kicks off the new Kitsuné compilation, Kitsuné Parisien II , with "So Long, My Love." The track features vocals from Lou Hayter (New Young Pony Club) and channels an ethereal, but urgent, sound, stacking Hayter's (occasionally altered) vocals on top of one another to create a lush wall. Stream the track after the jump. Read More...

Tonight, Yelle will be taking over the Music Hall of Williamsburg with Housse De Racket in towe. According to the rave reviews we have been reading left and right, both French pop-duos rocked Webster Hall last night. Yelle is fronted and named by Yelle, nee Julie Budet, a sparky gamine with a deceptively demure schoolgirl voice. Joined by producers GrandMarnier (Jean-Francois Perrier) and Tepr (Tanguy Destable), Yelle first arrived amid a flurry of 802s inspired pop, with the likes of CSS and New Young Pony Club all revered for their take on brightly colored electro. Unfortunately tonight's show is sold [...]
This mix was actually completed mid-month, which actually made things quite hard for me as I didn't have a ton of new stuff in my collection for the month. So I took a night to think about the... Read the rest on Speakerboxxx.com
Here we have the new clip for Munk 's 'So Close', featuring Lou Hayter (who's someone in New Young Pony Club who's not Tahita). The track is pretty chilled, but pretty infectious. 'So Close' comes from Munk's 'the Bird And The Beat' album, out now on Gomma. Buy Munk's music from: [...]

Hard to believe that was Mark Hamill (pictured above as baddie Jean Claude -- credit NBC). Chuck is back for it's fifth and final season, and considering how we left things at the end of last season, there's a lot to adapt to. Let's see... Chuck has lost the intersect (again), is married to Sarah and is now rich thanks to the Volkoff fortune. The team was booted from the CIA and is now working freelance. And Morgan is the intersect. It's that last one that had all kinds of promise [...]
