Today is the birthday of this blog. 4 years old! Since I launched it, many blogs have called it quit and actually I have stopped to read blogs as much as I used to back in 2006. Me? Die schwedische Jangle-Pop-Band Niccokick hat im Februar ein Album veröffentlicht, das eigentlich den Titel Sommer-Album verdient gehabt hätte. Wunderbar sülzige Kinder-Melodien in Verbindung mit schwedischer Larmoyanz. "The Good Times We Shared Werde They So Bad?", so der Titel des zweiten Longplayers der Schweden, der auf Startracks veröffentlicht wurde und Weltruhm verdient hat. Verewigt sind Niccokick auch auf dem 78s 1. August-Mixtape .

Das 78s 1. August Mixtape Die Amerikanischen Musikblogs sind ja Spezialisten darin, anlässlich ihres Nationalfeiertages Mixtapes zusammenzustellen. Auch wir legen dieses Jahr unsere Zurückhaltung in Sachen Patriotismus beiseite und präsentieren das vielleicht einzige Mixtape zum 1. August. 78s befindet sich gerade in seiner patriotischsten Woche ever.
