Tonight, Nike kicked off the Chicago high school hoops season with their yearly event at the United Center, which highlights and honors athletes from 30+ local schools. Simeon, Crane, Boling Brook, Whitney Young, Marshall and Morgan Park (among others) were all honored and students were able to celebrate at the Madhouse on Madison. The event was hosted by Leon Rogers and ESPN's Sarah Spain, while Scottie Pippen served as a guest host. I had to post this. With the NBA Lockout being as serious as it is, Nike has taken its cameras to NBA players to show that they are constantly working on their game and not giving up. This video hits home a bit because it was shot in my neighborhood in LA. They literally have the barbershop where I get my haircut at, a court I play on, on the weekends, and places I pass everyday.
