Just as predicted, M.I.A. makes it spring 2007 all over again. Every little thing she does make the Internet go bat shit crazy and I love every minute of it, she never conforms, she does what the fuck she wants and whatever she might do it always seems right. Monday's after the ginger-apartheid-video dropped M.I.A. took over Pitchfork's Twitter-account and posted a quite special twit-pic, the tracklist for her upcoming third, yet untitled, album which will be released the 29th of June: According to Sony Music Japan, the [...]
Everyones favorite group is back with a crazy remix to M.I.A.'s newest song. After hearing this remix I can so easily tell why Ninjasonik picked this. They are infectious with this beat and I need to go see them live again when this song plays because I am ready to rage. Ninjasonik ft. M.I.A.- Born Free Remix | UserShare

There is a long history of ironic, white covers of popular hip-hop and R&B tracks - from Dynamite Hack singing " Boyz in the Hood " in golf sweaters and flip flops, to Little Boots' recent melancholic cover of Kid Cudi's " Day N Nite ." In general, these attempts range from the retarded to the horribly offensive - with the rare creative or interesting recreation emerging here and there. The new Fool's Gold-repped artist Telephoned has recently joined membership into this group and whether they are one of the rare, successful entries [...]

As the warm weather settles, a certain hoopla and madness goes along with it, and the film " A Million in the Morning " puts the icing on the cake of madness. The documentary follows Gavin McInnes, co-founder of Vice magazine, as he provides commentary and interviews while 8 contenders attempt to break the Guinness World Record for non-stop movie watching. To beat the record, contestants had to stay up for five days straight - a whopping 123 hours - which breaks down to 57 films with 10-minute breaks in between. The winner would receive a $10,000 grand prize [...]

Tanner: Finally getting an early start to the day, I along with everyone else in Austin, was greeted with overcast, breezy, 45 degree weather. I made my way downtown at about noon hoping to capitalize on the 'Free BBQ' that was advertised by the Filter Magazine day party. I had yet to check out their festivities thus far despite having a solid lineup. I was only disappointed to find out the 'Free BBQ' was burgers and hot dogs that appeared to have been purchased by the hundreds. I am not sure how they can get away with [...]
Due to our being deep in the trenches to technological disorder, this much past due SXSW roundup comes, by modern standards, years past it's prime. But we here at All Our Noise still believe it is well worth your time to check out delectable tidbits from a handful of great performers. This is by no means a full overview of every important thing we saw, touched, and tasted in Austin, but rather a quick crosscut through the spectrum of sound. The complex spices of SXSW, make for the perfect sweet and savory experience, but here are a few sprinkles of note: [...]

While it's a shame not all of us could be there, EF contributor Victoria Lebron did more than enough to compensate as our eyes and ears for this year's SXSW. The following is a diary of all the madness of SXSW 2010 from her perspective; in other words, it's show and tell time, Austin style... This is the diary of a SXSW newbie. The experience was amazing, fun and overwhelming… and I'm still catching up on sleep. Three words: totally worth it. March 18, [...]

I first heard about The Electro Wars on Twitter of all places. There is some major buzz about this movie. I myself am really impressed that someone finally made a documentary of whats been really going on in the dance music world. From Blogs to Shows, Shows, and more Shows. Not to mention how the movie shows how connected everyone in the Dance Music community really is. Looks like we are in for a real treat. The movie seems to highlights the early Electro trend setters and goes in depth of the early founders of the scene from the last [...]
