Part Time Punks The Part Time Punks Festival will be kicking off at The Echo this evening. The Festival will host A Certain Ratio's first show in the US as well as the Vivian Girls' west coast debut, and Pylon's west coast debut as well since they reformed to promote DFA's reissuing of their back catalogue. In between sets the event will be also be featuring "screenings of rare & unseen Post-Punk videos, films & live performances" from a variety of post-punk figureheads. So, I know its a bit early, seeing as this show isn't till the 20th but I couldn't wait. Mark your calenders and save the date, The one show i have been stoked for in a while. Everyone knows I am in love with The Vivian Girls. The Nodzzz are totally fun, and Love Is All were fun to see when they played the record store. The only way this show could get better is if PENS where playing.
