Most of our readers might not be familiar with the name Will Beardmore , but he's the guy working feverishly behind the scenes on the long-awaited, much-trumped, and forever-delayed Thrash Hits redesign (and boy, is it looking good). He's on holiday right now, mucking about over in Japan, so when he said he'd been to Punkspring festival out there....well, what sort of a music website would we be if we turned down a review? 6 Things We Learnt When We Saw Weezer Headline Punkspring Festival in [...]

Bad Religion played Philadelphia this past Monday, and I missed it. I've been feeling terrible about it, so I've been pretty much listening to Bad Religion non-stop all week. The album of choice I've been spinning is their highly influential Suffer. Released back in 1988, Suffer was Bad Religion's third full length album and the one that really defined the sound of modern South Cali punk. The songs are more polished and more melodic than their hardcore masterpiece How Can Hell Be Any Worse , and in my opinion features some of [...]

NOFX have been playing punk rock before many of you were even just a wee zygote, and their latest Self Entitled marks their 12th studio album. I know what a lot of you are thinking: "I bet it sounds exactly like every other album by them" and you would be absolutely right... however Self Entitled is their most punk rock album in recent years. Besides the track "I've Got One Jealous Again, Again", a slower continuation of "We Got Two Jealous Agains", Self Entitled is a 12 song 29 minute skate punk [...]

NOFX’s brand of snotty, Howard Stern-esque punk rock would have been better served if it had died gloriously in the early nineties. As it stands now, NOFX are a mere parody of themselves, a joke that had stopped being funny at around Ribbed. [...]
Happy Christmas Eve, here's a new video from NOFX for their track, "Xmas Has Been X'ed".

Finally some Christmas music I can get behind. And who better to deliver it than punk rock legends NOFX. I mean seriously, nothing says punk rock Christmas more than hijacking a bus decked to the hall in Santa gear while passing out shots to an equally decked out and rambunctious crowd. All the while offending just about every religious group you possibly can. Merry fuckin' Christmas... iTunes Self Entitled - NOFX
Sinds mensenheugenis komt er keurig om de drie jaar een nieuw album van NOFX uit en niemand die daar nu echt wakker van kan liggen. Ook de band zelf weet inmiddels wel hoe de zaken er voor staan, getuige het...

Check out my photos of NOFX at the Observatory over at OC Weekly .

Photos and words by Leslie Kalohi The rain didn’t dampen the atmosphere down at OC’s The Observatory, which played host to a sold out bash with punk veterans NOFX. The hi-jinks started to bubble with openers Teenage Bottlerocket. An individual wearing a skull mask held up multiple signs instructing the crowd to head bang or engage in a pogo party during the band’s frenzied set, which also included a cover of The Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop.” Pabst Blue Ribbon Tall Boys were prevalent in the hands of fans, and could be seen sailing through [...]
