Yesterday's episode of the Diddy Wah radio chronicles is now up on an internet near you, ready to be streamed or downloaded. For this one, I play all the tracks from my new Blop-Up mix, in the same order, but with a little chat about the artist, song, label, year, etc. in between tracks every now and again.
Man that was a good show. Hear it all back now, with Sian's dulcet voice and Joe Bish's ubermix (it's all good all of it every second):

I n the latest Diddy Wah radio show , I draw on my brief history in astrophysics to explore how stars such as Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Etta James and Ray Charles deal with the concept of time. Big questions are posed, such as: is night time the right time? And, is it possible to meet him on a Sunday if Friday's on your mind? Listen now to find out.
Another installment of the Diddy Wah radio show right here. This time it's a Chess Records special. I play nothing but Chess and its subsidiary labels Checker, Argo, Cadet and Cadet Concept. This Chicago stalwart is one of my all time favourite record companies. They put out so much amazing and influential music. It's an impossible task to cover it in one hour, but I do my best. Also, if you're sensitive to swear words, you might want to skip the first minute as the guys doing the show on before mine certainly aren't.

Earlier this month , Brighton producer Kutmah offered up a tribute to the late-great and frequently mentioned J Dilla on the sixth anniversary of his death. While NTS fans may have seen several other tribute mixes added to the collection, they kinda fell under the wire here. And while the anniversary may have passed, anytime we have an opportunity to celebrate Dilla is a good time. Stream Kutmah's two additional Dilla tribute mixes below.

Know me well? Well then you might know I worship the legacy of J Dilla, the legendary Detroit producer/rapper who died six years ago yesterday. To celebrate his influence, Brighton producer Kutmah released this hour-long mixtape of classic J Dilla material on the NTS Sketchbook Radio Show . Stream/download the whole mix below (via FACTmag ).
Fresh from the airwaves, here's my latest expedition into radioland. It was a human anatomy, body parts theme this time round. Hands, eyes, hairs, a back, a belly, a golden arm and a big foot all feature. There's also the ever-popular Version Excursion segment and I occasionally pipe in with some fascinating facts about the human body.
Got a spare 55 minutes? Listen to my latest radio show. Missing about 5 minutes at the start for no particular reason (don't worry, the two missing tunes will be posted here soon enough). I haven't got a specific theme this time round, just a stack of good ol' bluesy 45s with minimal insight/interruption from yours truly.

Here's the latest Diddy Wah radio programme. The theme was songs with an echo in their title. It starts off with The Mamas & The Papas' Monday Monday (the show originally aired on Monday...), finishes with Sarah Vaughan's Bye-Bye, and in between there's booms, bangs, buzzes and more.
One hour of nothing but music released on Specialty Records seasoned with a dash of jibber-jabber from me. The show features many musicians from down in New Orleans and a large amount of Little Richard.
Here's my latest foray onto the airwaves of the internet via the NTS radio platform. It's a nonsensical song title themed show -- the lyrics often don't make sense and, at times, neither do I. Enjoy!
For the best part of a year now, every 4 weeks, I've been producing/presenting a one hour radio show on NTS , a newish online station that has a studio in a small booth next to a public square in the heart of cosmopolitan Dalston. Although it wasn't my intention when I started, it seems to have developed into a themed show, i.e. each week I have a different theme or focus. This tried and true radio format gives me a chance to rediscover my record collection by looking at it through a new prism each time. [...]
