The day is lovely, sunny and fairly warm. I stood outside a long while this morning checking out the lower forty: okay, a bit of an exaggeration there. It was the side yard where the day lilies grow. I noticed their shoots are all above the ground. In the front garden the most beautiful cluster of yellow flowers is blooming. It deserves a picture so I'll go back out later. The disturbingly-named Wet Nuns release a blistering new EP, 'Broken Teeth' next monday. The video for the title track is directed by Mark Bull. The band are also off on a UK tour, before playing at New York Sound City and at SXSW, then their own festival, Detestival, in South Yorkshire in March. Wet Nuns have announced they've started their own festival called 'Detestival'. The festival, which is sponsored by Kraken Rum, will take place at Sheffield's Queens Social Social Club on the Easter weekend of March 30th and 31st. The first acts announced for the festival are as follows: Bo Ningen, Wolf People, Hookworms, Kult Country, John J Presley, Blood Presley, and Wet Nuns. Head here to buy tickets.
