I am quite fond of the work by @nonlive and once again, we have a quality delivery. This time however, we have got to go a little bit deeper. The 'Echo EP' has got two original tracks. The first is of course the title tune but instead of the glorious Breaks that we had on the previous release of the '00 EP' , we have some deep, gritty and sordid dubstep from the dark side of the moon. This tune has that sombre Nine Inch Nails [...]

A few years ago when I started listening to my mates deejaying skills he was playing a lot of breakbeats. Sometimes there were a few acts which stuck out. Nursery of Naughtiness Number 1 Suspects (Radio edit) Number 1 Suspects (Run Riot Remix) Number 1 Suspects (Extended Version) No 1 Suspects stream [Visit thehatsandfriends.com for streaming audio] Buy full release at Juno here Number 1 Suspects is an angry rant at the world, clenching it's fists, a call to arms that's ready to deck whoever gets in the way. Heavy beats and distorted wailing synths dominate the track, with Phorse MC spitting lyrics at a voracious pace. Sirens patrol [...]
Up first is the Tiny Masters of Today track, Skeletons. This has minimalist guitars and repetitive lyrics over drum loops. It's a catchy song written by young kids (ages 13 and 15). Next is Colours by Charlotte Hatherley. This is my favorite song of the set. It''s solid power pop songwriting. [...]
There's only room for one of The Prodigy, but Nursery of Naughtiness reckon it should be the other way round. The similarity is uncanny, and althought they're not quite headlining every festival this summer, Nursery of Naughtiness have still managed to get themselves signed to Exceptional Records (home of The Rogue Element) and are rapidly [...]

Bio: The Nursery of Naughtiness began as a merger of two producers Alastair Dawson and Gavin Whyte. The purpose in mind was to create a new and exciting dance act to create dance music with a razor sharp edge. These guys fuse elements of tough breaks, electronica and ambient to create a diverse sound reminiscent of the likes of The Prodigy and Aphex Twin. Nursery of Naughtiness continue to push their music to new boundaries. Expect big beats, live guitars, synths, chunky helpings of bass and the odd chilled out moment just for good measure. Support so [...]
Acid Brass sent The KLF to the colliery, Senor Coconut turned Kraftwerk Latin, and now Christian Prommer is taking dance classics to the jazz club. From Jaydee's " Plastic Dreams " to Kraftwerks " Trans-Europe Express ", Prommer chooses ten of his favourite dance monsters from the last two decades and reinvents them using the piano, drums, percussion and bass of the jazz quartet. There's obviously a market (Volume 2 is to follow) for music that appeals to 30 and 40 somethings who now prefer dipping humous at diner parties to dropping acid at warehouse parties, but this [...]
