Marc Morrissette has seen the world as a tourist, as a foreigner. Years ago, his solo work was a collection of observations and memories from his travels, held close and shared openly like sepia toned photos. Wow this was a big day for Ottawa Bluesfest on July 10, 2010. Being a Saturday it was filled with great musicians and bands playing there. Vancouver band The Abramson Singers have signed to White Whale Records to release their upcoming self-titled album on February 2. The band was born when singer-songwriter-guitarist Leah Abramson got tendonitis in her wrist. Unable to write songs on guitar, Leah borrowed an 8-track and started recording a capella vocal pieces under the name "The Abramson Singers."
