Social Distortionhas been omnipresent on the road since releasing their first album in six years, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes , earlier this year. They've extended their tour once, been announced as festivals headliners , and even scored an opening position for Foo Fighters. And yet they just keep on going. . . The Cali punk-rockers have just added a few more end-of-the-year dates with recent touring companion Chuck Ragan. Social D will also be playing a few spots with - get this - indie folk favorites The [...]

Last evening, I headed out to Killadelphia's Barbary to catch not only our own Holy Mess, but also one of my favorite bands Off With Their Heads. This show was going to be a weird experience for me as I usually lose my shit, but due to my injured broken arm I was forced on the sidelines and *gasp* just to watch the show (probably will be like this until December according to doctors). I

This video from Context MC proves hard that you don't need baller level $$ to hit on a good solid concept and create something memorable. With cameo lip-syncing from some of my biggest babez Hyperfrank and Jamal SBTV plus a grime-buffet of others, OWTH is dry, dubbed out and dark like Dr Pepper. I've had my eyes on Norwich based MC Context since Charlie Sloth introduced a Fire in the PhoneBooth session with him a while back and the stonecold delivery of slices like: "I'll tell a bird if she looks good naked FUCK what Gok will [...]
Well, this makes up for losing Curren$y.Austin people: your dreams of seeing "Wardance" performed live will come true soon. Killing Joke has just been confirmed for Chaos in Tejas, who were clearly not content with just having the already unfuckwithable Autopsy and Converge on board. Since Inquisition aren't returning for another round, somebody's gotta represent the corpse paint, and who better

Don't judge: last night I headed out to Philly's Trocadero to catch Less Than Jake with Off With Their Heads. I was originally going to pass on this show like I have on a bunch of LTJ shows in the past, but I've heard they were playing a lot off of their old stuff, and being that they were my favorite band back when I was just a 13 year old punk 12 years ago, the angsty teen in me was

Tweet Death To False Hope records have released an epic 45 track sampler ahead of their two year anniversary party next month. It features Less Than Jake , Off With Their Heads and lesser known bands such as; The Capitalist Kids (any album featuring a track by a band called 'The Capitalist Kids' MUST be downloaded). After some debate, last night I headed out to Philly's Electric Factory to catch Off With Their Heads, Bouncing Souls, and Bad Religion.Off With Their Heads I've seen Off With Their Heads a handful of times, but it's always been in smaller venues or house shows (Play the OX again please!), so I was sort of doubting how well they would sound in such a big venue. While they are obviously more

Yesterday, new recruit Katie Hovaland gave RFC and it's loyal, lovely readers their first look at her photo editorial of this year's Riot Fest . Today, Katie is up to it once more, now covering day two which features bands that even this indie folk kid grew up more than a little familiar with: Off With Their Heads ! The Bouncing Souls ! Circle Jerks ! The Lawrence Arms ! [...]

So this is the Epitaph debut from Minneapolis, MN's Off With Their Heads and I've heard bitching from some that the vocals are a little cleaner (which they are) and that the production is a little better (which it is) and that somehow detracts from this album. Those people need to quit whining and shut the f up because this still sounds exactly like Off With Their Heads to me but with less pirate-ish vocals. Yeah, again, with In Desolation (their fourth full-length) the band is back with another tightly wound collection of 12 gritty-yet-catchy pop [...]

Bad Religion has announced three special shows in NYC on their upcoming tour . The band will no longer be performing at Roseland Ballroom on October 20th. Instead, Bad Religion will be performing three decade themed sets at Irving Plaza to celebrate their 30th anniversary: October 20th (How Could Hell Be Any Worse?, Suffer and No Control), October 26th(Against The Grain, Generator, Recipe For Hate, Stranger Than Fiction, The Grey Race and No Substance) and October 27th (New America, The Process of Belief, The Empire Strikes First, New Maps of Hell and The Dissent of Man). The [...]

Bad Religion has announced a fall tour along with The Bouncing Souls and label-mates Off With Their Heads . While most of the dates are considered TBA ,its safe to assume that the tour will hit Starland Ballroom on October 22nd and House of Blues on October 23rd. The tour will also hit Roseland Ballroom on October 20th. Bad Religion recently released a new song called "The Devil In Stitches" from their upcoming album entitled The Dissent of Man . The Bouncing Souls recently announced a [...]
So, after the Grey Area, Lighten Up, and Static Radio Show on Saturday, I ran out to Philly's best warehouse "The Ox" to catch another personal favorite of mine: Off With Their Heads. It was my first time at The Ox, and I was impressed by the massive amount of space that was there. I was also sweltering from the heat, as there isn't much airflow in the place. The Holy Mess was towards the end of
I'm going to call it now: Off With Their Heads "In Desolation" will be on my top 1o at the end of the year. These Minneapolis punks have done it again, and made one hell of an album. For those who don't know, Off With Their Heads plays straight from the gut, beer soaked anthems, pretty similar to Dillinger Four. Within one listen, I instantly fell in love with In Desolation. The songs are
