I seem to have fallen a little bit behind on the blogging duties. My apologies; it's been a hectic and tiring week. But good news is I have next week off for vacation, relaxation, and warm weather. What more could a person ask for? Live Forever by Oasis from Definitely Maybe Pulling Teeth by Of The Red Sea from Verona Nobody Knows You by Office from Mecca For Real by Okkervil River from [...]

Yall. As u know, I am a very creative person. I am thinking about writing a television show. Please give me feedback about my ideas. Think that I am going to cast two bros as the lead bros. Photos via histiley Bro #2 also seems chill. Think that there are a lot of different directions 2 go in. Might decide to cast a woman and have the bros be entrepreneurs. [...]

If you have been on Hulu you know the only thing kind of annoying are the commercials! Well, today it is commercial free. If you haven't seen Arrested Development then jump on it today cause all 3 seasons are on there. A ton of the season finales are on there and enough The Office webisodes to keep you cracking up until season 6 rolls back in. Enjoy! HULU

I can't believe it, but Hayden has a new album coming out The Place Where We Lived, May 26. Yeah, that was fast ... How 'bout the Office ? What a nice finale. I'm not sure whether its the mockumentary format, but 5 seasons in and its still going strong (not sure how long they are going to be able to keep this together). Ordinarily I'd be a little worried about the PB&J pregnancy thing, but they handled the couple getting [...]

My head and bod are like lead after a weekend of excess so while they both sort themselves out this evening I am concentrating on getting fingers back into vigorous tapping action. And this song from Chicago's Office will do just fine. Lead by what seems to have been the only Office constant Scott Masson the band has had a fairly prolific output since their inception in 2001 releasing 6 albums, the latest of which 'Mecca' can be downloaded for free . 'Dominos' is taken from 2007's 'A Night At The Ritz' and boasts a cosy familiarity in its [...]

Even though I've been on a bit of an Andrew Bird binge lately, I've still managed to find time for some new tuneage. Though not officially releasing till May 19th, a pre-release download of White Rabbits ' It's Frightening is available from iTunes (US). The Britt Daniels production is definitely hard to overlook here. If you're hoping for a continuation where Fort Nightly left off, this isn't it. But don't let that turn you away. Percussion Gun by White Rabbits from It's Frightening [...]

The Officers are a 5 piece from Leeds, recently described as making music that's ' so dirty you may think you have stumbled on My Bloody Valentine and Trent Reznor in a red light district together…but still maintains the very essence of cool '. Likened to other low-down and dirty soundmakers like The Jesus & Mary Chain , Primal Scream and The Chemical Brothers , they create filthy and compulsive electronic rock'n'roll. With recent single Red [...]

Another Friday, another chance to beat the crap out of the workday. What better way to do so than check out these soon-to-be-big (if not already) hometown acts: Russian Circles Russian Circles offer powerful, deft instrumental rock. Brings to mind fellow instrumentalists (and Chicagoans), Pelican. With Plague Bringer (industrial/grindcore insanity/awesomeness) and Lichens. Friday, 5/1 at Bottom Lounge . $12/14 OFFICE OFFICE = lively pop collective [...]
Can we talk? I mean about The Office . Not the US version, but the original from jolly ol' England. I'm sure most people reading this have seen it before. It was a huge DVD smash hit among the hipster crowd, so it just made its rounds. I don't know if it was ever on TV here in the US, but apparently it's about to be...on Cartoon Network? I just find it weird how Adult Swim is venturing so far into the non-cartoon territory. Adult Swim today announced it has acquired the legendary hit BBC [...]

Did you know that Ricky Gervais started in the entertainment business back in 1983 singing in a pop band called Seona Dancing ? There's even video evidence of this. Look! - Bitter Heart - Seona Dancing video - (YouTube notes from user: "The full video isn't anywhere so I put this together with what I could find online. Sorry for the bad cuts that have had to be done." ) Much later on he reemerged as a type of funny man [...]

Maybe it's just me but my first thought when seeing this was the exercises in question were related to office sex. The book in question is from 1981. Either way, this is something I would expect to find in my grandma's attic. [via Lucas ]
I've been reading for a few weeks now that Rivers Cuomo and Rainn Wilson were working on some music together. What I didn't find out until today was that they were working on one of the best one hit wonders of my high school days: "One Of Us" by Joan Osbourne. It's a nice, faithful take on the song and it also shows of Dwight, er, Rainn's sweet-ass bongo skillz. I'm not a big Weezer fan, but I like some of their stuff. However, I'm a big fan of Wilson's [...]

Away We Go is an upcoming feature film by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road To Perdition, Revolutionary Road), featuring comedians John Krasinski ("The Office") and Maya Rudolph ("SNL"). The trailer was released a few days back and it is another film where comedians take on dramatic roles like the way Jim Carey did in Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Away We Go follows the journey of an expectant couple, as they travel the US in search of a place to put down roots [...]
Blake needs to talk to Jack about the homepage... or at least he tries to. visit APC to read the full post, THX!!!

W. Neil Berrett decided to give two week's notice at his workplace in an unusual way. He wrote the resignation letter with frosting on a full sheet size cake. The cake apparently was delicious and it was well received. Here is what he wrote: "Dear Mr. Bowers, During the past three years, my tenure at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard has been nothing short of pure excitement, joy and whim. However, I have decided to spend more time with my family and attend to health issues that have [...]

Nothing is a new commercial creative agency in Amsterdam. While the city houses the agency in a fairly unconventional building – a nineteenth-century church – the Nothing office is an unusual construction too, in that it is built almost entirely out of cardboard . The Nothing team took the idea behind the company name (taking nothing and turning it into something) as the starting point for the physical design of the office; which included creating walls, signage, beams, tables, shelving and even a set of stairs out [...]
