Photo by: Tiffany Luong Odd Future 's DJ Syd tha Kyd and producer Matt Martians aka The Internet made their live debut last night to a sold out crowd at The Echo. Fans came out by the hundreds and tons were left outside hoping to score a ticket in. But once inside you can tell that this was a show for family and friends. As expected, The entire OFWGKTA were also there to support the usually shy friend Syd. But once she hit the stage with a full band, she [...]

For a relatively new artist without a debut record to his name, Frank Ocean certainly has managed to attract a lot of attention. Unfortunately, it's not all been good. For example, he's already been threatened with a lawsuit by The Eagles' Don Henley if he so much as performs the track "American Wedding" live because it samples "Hotel California." Despite that, he's been universally well received by pretty much everyone else in the industry. As he should be. After all, his debut mixtape nostalgia,ULTRA. sounds incredibly fully formed for an initial (and free) offering. It could be a [...]

(As much as I'd like to give you the pure, unguarded experience I "enjoyed" the first time I heard this track, I'm going to instead be a standup guy and provide you with the following disclaimer...) WARNING: The following mashup contains some language that most people would consider unsuitable. It's not so much the words as it is the context. Proceed with caution (and headphones preferably, if at work). The track starts out amiably enough, with Biggie's flow playing nicely off the repeated tones. It's not until you [...]

Odd Future-ers Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis have been trickling out a few leaks from a collaborative project over the last few weeks. But as is the way with the ever-prolific OFWGKTA lot, they like to confuse us older folks. Why the confusion? Well, the pair is known as MellowHigh. Not to be confused with MelloHype, Hodgy's partnership with fellow OFWGKTA-er Left Brain. Those crazy kids. Whatever will they come up with next. But just like MellowHype, MellowHigh (so many mellows, so much confusion) seems to be a pretty damn good [...]
Stones Throw's M.E.D. and Odd Future's Hodgy Beats released the video for their track "Outta Control" produced by the legendary Madlib. The video is fully animated except the MCs and the extra peoples, like a small appearance from Left Brain, but the animation definitely makes this video one of the dopest I've seen in a while. The drugged out Hunter S. Thompson-esque animations fit the track perfectly and the flows of both M.E.D. and Hodgy are on point as usual. Check the video above...

MellowHigh, which consists of Domo Genesis and Hodgy Beats of Odd Future, released their latest track "Go" a couple days ago. The track, which is over a majorly dope beat from Thelonius Martin, sports Hodgy and Domo doing some killer flowing. The two which seem to be really into their new collab, MellowHigh, keep getting better and better with each release and they never cease to impress with each release. Check the latest from MellowHigh below... MellowHigh - Go
The Internet dropped a new remix a few days ago for Lana Del Rey's track "Blue Jeans." In their usual remix style they simplify and spaceify the original version from Lana Del Rey. It definitely reps The Internet's unique sound that Syd and Matt Martian of Odd Future worked so hard to develop throughout their latest album "Purple Naked Ladies." So far there is no download available for the remix so that may mean it will be apart of something to drop in the near future. Check the latest from the Internet above...
This week Odd Future's Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis teamed up as Mellowhigh to release a Lex Luger-produced new song, "Timbs". On the 20th of April they were back with another new... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
Watch the video for Frank Ocean 's newly mixed and re-titled "Thinkin Bout You" . There's little doubt that "Thinkin Bout You" (formerly "Thinking About You"), which has been floating around for a while now, is one of Frank Ocean 's best tracks. Despite everybody loving it though, it wasn't intended to be released by him but by Bridget Kelly . Now, with Ocean's lead album reportedly in the works and expected this year (hopefully soon!), it's been revealed that it'll be the first single to come [...]

MellowHigh, which is made up this time around of Domo Genesis and Hodgy Beats, put out their latest track "Timbs" produced by Lex Luger. The production from Lex Luger is a perfect fit for the flows of both Hodgy and Domo, and hopefully the group known as MellowHigh will continue to release tracks together because they are a dope collaboration. It's another killer joint out of the Odd Future crew that you can give a listen below and be sure to check back for more releases from MellowHigh in the near future... MellowHigh - Timbs [...]

Peep Frank Oceans full live performance at Coachella last Friday above.
