The initial line up announcement for the 2010 Bonnaroo concert has caused the official website to slow to a crawl , but we're plucking what information we can from the internet about the festival taking place in Manchester, TN, on June 10-13, 2010. Phoenix , Weezer , Jeff Beck , and more are all scheduled to play. The weirdest performance announcement? The Flaming Lips will be playing Dark Side of the Moon . We won't even try to explain that one. The acts we know so far are after the jump. [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News Rather than take the traditional route of making a big lineup announcement, Bonnaroo organizers are taking a different tack this year: they're letting the artists make the announcements themselves. Starting at 10AM ET today, bands booked for the annual festival have been revealing their plans to head to Manchester, Tenn. this June. So far, Weezer , Phoenix , OK Go , Flaming Lips , Dave Matthews Band , Jeff Beck and [...]
Oordeel zelf: [...]

It's been a little while since we've talked about Passion Pit, so it's probably time to check in with those Boston boys. They've been busy little worker bees since their debut LP Manners dropped last summer, turning their attention toward some name-building remixes for the likes of Max Tundra, OK Go, and Phoenix. Most recently, they touched up Lady Gaga and Beyonce's "Telephone" as an official remix. Wouldn't have predicted that one a year ago! BUT, I don't really like that remix, so I'm not going to post it here. We have standards, sometimes, sort of. Besides, Crookers [...]
This Spring will see the inaugural Hangout Music Festival bring an "eclectic lineup of 60-plus artists" to the Gulf Shores of Alabama. "We're shooting for the stars," found Shaul Zislin told Alabama Live upon announcing its creation in December. "We want the best that are available in the business to come here." Well, it took a little long than expected, but Mr. Zislin has returned to announce which of these stars will hanging out on from May 14-16. Among them include the now Grammy Award winning outfit the Zac Brown [...]

CHECK THIS OUT BITCHES! Cool Video that made us cheer ok go Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky is the new album from RSL favorites, Ok Go . We love the band for their wild, unexpectedly creative outbursts (but even further for their [...]
At times Of the Blue Colour of the Sky sounds more like a Prince album than anything OK Go has done in the past, and it's quite an obvious attempt to shake free from their power-pop roots. The band retains their trademark energy though, it's just directed in a different way musically.

Back in 2002 I saw OK Go open for The Vines , and they put on a great show. Much better, in fact, than the spastic Vines themselves. I went to chat with OK Go's lead singer after their set, but he was more interested in talking to girls much prettier than myself. So I chatted with their keyboard player instead - nice dude! I admit that I am not a huge fan of OK Go's music, but they do make above average alternative rock and pop songs. However, I [...]

Muita gente gostou bastante do disco. [...]
I'm not quite sure what I was expecting from the new OK Go album. They are a group who offer the occasional moments of brilliance, for example their phenomenal videos for 'A Million Ways' and 'Hear It Goes Again' (for which we offered an impassioned defence back in April) or their red hot debut single [...]

Eschewing the faux-frat odours of their Youtube endeavours, Sky harbours instead the silken sting of gleefully loud neckties. Kulash's scorchingly supple voice honours the flavour of randy guitars and the rigour of clubby rhythms: "Skyscrapers" is more lustful than anything since "Crush," and Kulash savours the requisite Joplinesque howl. Reminds us of: Juniour Boys | Neighbours with moustaches and finishing school behaviour | How long it's been since I went to the gym OK Go: ( Official Site | MySpace ) [...]

OK Go opens up on why you can't share their videos on your site.

Because my brother finally got around to giving me my Christmas preset I found myself yesterday with some money to spend on new music, yay!I've been rather poor of late, so it's been a while since I've had the chance, here is what was going down in my brain:me: wow, look at all this new music! Oh, so shiny, what shall I get?brain: why, look at this album here, OK GO.me: OK GO? Nah, I don't really
Ok, Go Have A Great Weekend! You know Ok Go, they re the band made famous by that cool dance/walk video on the treadmills that was all the rage in the summer of 2006. The one with 49 million views on YouTube. But being known primarily for your wacky coo ...
Here in what passes for my real life, we're in the midst of what's known as "syllabus week", which is generally the first week of classes where professors hand out their syllabus and students get a sense for what the coming weeks and months will hold. While it is hardly the busiest week of the semester, it's the least predictable, as there's no telling what's coming. I tell you this as a roundabout way of explaining my inconsistent posting this past week. Once things settle down a bit I'll be around more frequently. To make it up to you, I [...]
OK Go really wants you to be able to embed its videos where you please, but you'll just have to go straight to the source from now on. The Chicago pop rock outfit apologized on its message board Monday for label EMI 's decision to forbid YouTube embedding, NME reports . Frontman Damian Kulash explains in this portion of the letter: Unfortunately, as of now you can't embed diddlycrap. And depending on where you are in the world, you might not even be able to watch [...]
