Click here to view the embedded video. Let's be honest, when it comes to a good music video, you really can't go wrong with uncoordinated dudes trying to sex it up on the dance floor like there's no tomorrow. > So once again, a band has utilized this formula and made a delicious dish of maledancing-con-uncoordinació n, add a some ladies who know how to dance, spandex, body hair , sparkle video effects and a bottle of Negro Modelo and you have "Gold Standard", the [...]

Music videos accomplish what has never been done before in the history of media: They make experimentation a commercial enterprise. They afford musicians, filmmakers, and multimedia artists the chance to have their craziest ideas not only produced, but shown to a large audience. What's more, in the age of Internet video, indie productions are now on equal footing with million-dollar productions. There's no visual medium more diverse or creative than music videos. Thirty years after the launch of MTV, the format is not only alive and well, but it's matured, expanded, and become a part of our global culture. When [...]
Even when I still had my iPhone, I didn't really have any games on it. Only TicTacToe, and even that I only played a couple of times. I think I'm just way too impatient for any kind of game where I need to overcome more than one level. However, I'm of course familiar with many [...]

Quick and Easy Album Reviews We used to bring tons of music goodies to Chicago. No doubt it was how our bread was buttered so to speak. Now we're a tad more diverse, but we recently listened to 3 new...
Let's go back in time: Lykke Li: "I Follow Rivers" Is it love, lust or infatuation? Lykke Li goes on a relentless pursuit of a man in this video, running in her bare feet through the snow while the dark tune looms in the background. Amazing song, kick-ass video. I love the part where she shoots an icy, cold glare at the viewer. Feist: "1234" [...]

Los Angeles duo Pyyramids will be releasing their debut EP, Human Beings , on October 31st via OK Go's Paracadute label. The latter band's latest record drifted into some psychedelic territory, so it's not too surprising to discover that OK Go's familiar-faced bassist Tim Nordwind is one half of Pyyramids. He's joined by singer Drea Smith (He Say She Say, Lupe Fiasco) for a project steeped in dreamy atmospherics that balances pop sensibility with the mystique of psych. Hear and download the group's debut single below. [...]

From the mystical, unGoogleable beyond comes PYYRAMIDS , a new collaboration by OK Go 's Tim Nordwind and singer Drea Smith . Living in the dark, atmospheric grotto midway between the dance floor and the mopey teenage bedroom of the mind, PYYRAMIDS' six-song debut, Human Beings , will be available on October 31, 2011 from Paracadute, the full-service 21st century record label OK Go founded on their 2010 parting from Capitol. When it comes to live performance , everything is game for the guys in MUTEMATH . Whether it’s flipping over keyboards or crowd surfing and doing back flips off of drums, they’re are no strangers to acrobatics. So when watching MTV2’s premiere of their new video for the song “Blood Pressure”, it’s no surprise that the same energy translates as they manage to fly in circles and levitate mid-air while rocking out from beginning to end. In this New Orleans/blues sounding track, new guitarist Todd Gummerman fits right in and if this is any inkling of the musical/artistic direction [...]

Photography: Alison Scarpulla I remember OK Go always having brilliant choreography for their clips, it's not different now either. Also a Keys N Krates remix because it's good if not better than the original. OK Go - All Is Not Lost OK Go - All Is Not Lost (Keys N Krates Remix)

Here's a nice little remix of OK Go's "All Is Not Lost" by Keys N Krates . It's not too heavy on the electronics, and generally didn't hurt my ears (the best kind of remix is one [...]
