Saddle Creek Records have announced the signing of Old Canes . The label will release the Lawrence, KS band's sophomore effort, Feral Harmonic , on October 20. The bulk of the album was recorded by Chris Crisci (shown below) in his basement studio. He is also played the majority of the instrumentation with help from a friends contributing various instruments, including trumpet, harmophone, cello, and hammer dulcimer. The album took nearly three and a half years to complete as the recording process was regularly interrupted by touring, work, and a variety of other projects. [...]

Everything is getting to that point where I'm getting really excited about it. The last step is really just finishing up the lyrics and vocals, adding some finishing touches and then mixing. It's been a few days. . .Since we last talked, we went to The Browns game on Sunday (with an amazing view, as seen in our picture taken above) , witnessing a great game as they went on to beat Houston 27-17, making our record 7-4 for this season.
