Working again with Nathan Horrorshow Tunes under our Zeitgeist banner, we'd like to present you our third show - and our first of 2012. We wouldn't call our last two shows tame. We enjoyed them alot. But in comparison to our forthcoming third - again taking place at Kingston pub The Cricketers , on Friday February 17 , for £3 - they could seem it a little. We're taking things a little 'heavier'. Guitars will be louder, voices will be angrier, and the audience probably smellier. [...]

Saturday's Kids From: South Wales, United Kingdom Sion the lead singer with old school punkers Saturday's Kids took some time out from straining his vocal chords to answer a few questions from the Devil. The Devil : Why Saturday's Kids? What other names did you consider before finally deciding it had to be Saturday's Kids? [...]

Here is our usual round-up of the best songs we've posted in August together with a couple of our favourite covers and three new songs to tempt you. Another perfect mix tape we think. Black Angels – Telephone mp3 Gentler psych-pop approach from new album calling to mind classic era Zombies Dreamend – Magnesium Light mp3 Superb psych-folk from the loosely joined and hellish story of a serial killer The Migrant – [...]

A little while ago we received in the mail a copy of the latest EP from Ono Palindromes titled The Kool Aid Acid Test . To our shame we took too long to get around to playing it, but once we did we were immediately taken with its ferocious energy, vicious circling guitars and gunshot percussion. From a similar stable as Pulled Apart By Horses (no pun intended) this is high octane, relentless and bruising rock 'n' roll destined to seriously disturb the neighbours. We love it. Released on [...]

Ono Palindromes From: Exeter, United Kingdom Exeter indie rockers and possessors of one of the more intriguing band names of the year Ono Palindromes took some time out from thinking about palindromes that they can deploy as the title of their first album to talk to the Devil about the strangest place they've ever played, their dodgy taste in music when they were younger, why they chose their name and what is the longest palindrome they can think of. [...]

Ono Palindromes From: Exeter, Southwest,United Kingdom Ono Palindromes are back and they've noised it up a bit since I last encountered them way back in March last year ( Ono no no no ). At that stage they were still finding their way from their previous incarnation as Young Sensations. Their latest release The Kool Aid Acid Test EP , is certainly a noisier affair than their last EP. The art rock pretensions have been sidelined for [...]

so i've done two volumes of this "songs featuring felines" thing, but i've never actually had a feline of any sort. well... tomorrow that will change. we're getting a kitten! i wasn't too keen on the idea at first, but i guess i'm starting to come around. i don't know what we're gonna call it yet, though i've got plenty of great (unappreciated) ideas. so i figured i should make a playlist to welcome the kitten home. unlike past volumes, several of these songs really don't feature felines too much at all... they are [...]

In this version of NFTU we're reviewing some of the latest singles from Driving By The Night, Go:Audio, The Penny Black Remedy & Walk. Don't Walk. - anddd we have an EP courtesy of Ono Palindromes to review amongst the singles. Driving By Night - Promise In Youth (Dental Records) The thing with bands that are so brilliant as live acts is that they can't transform the magic onto a CD, so as I read the horrahs of Irish outfit DBN's live work (which includes a sell out show [...]
