![[Video] Tyler The Creator and BADBADNOTGOOD: "Orange Juice"](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4020654_lg.jpg)
Props to Tyler for repping the Blackhawks cap Toronto based jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD have created quite a buzz for themselves with their live instrumentation covers of some of hip hop biggest tracks. Recently Tyler The Creator linked up with the group to perform his track "Orange Juice". The track steals Gucci Mane's infamous "Lemonade" and originally featured the currently MIA Earl Sweatshirt. This latest cover could be the groups best, largely because their dope abilities on instruments are matched with some vocals for once. Great track and cover, plus Tyler in wil-n-out per usual, lets hope [...]
Badbadnotgood has released yet another video featuring Tyler the Creator to go along with others they have put out. This time covering "Orange Juice", which originally featured Earl, the Jazz trio gives what many were hoping for out of their meeting with Tyler, a live jazz rendition of "Orange Juice". Anyone who is a fan of Odd Future undoubtedly loves this track and to finally get a live jazz version featuring the always entertaining Tyler on the mic is just pure excellence. Check the latest video from Tyler, the Creator and Badbadnotgood above...

While BADBADNOTGOOD 's jazz covers of hip-hop tracks are really good (good not bad), sometimes their songs feel slightly incomplete without the verses. No worries, BBNG and Tyler, the Creator have got you covered. The Odd Future leader mans the vocals while the Toronto jazz outfit play "Orange Juice," off of the OFWGKTA mixtape, Radical . The obvious collaboration between BBNG and Tyler has happened before with " Fish " and " Seven ," but this one takes the cake, and Tyler seems pretty excited to be a part of it. ( [...]

L.O.V.E.Love - Orange Juice
Not surprisingly, it is a thin week for new releases. Many record companies hold off on releasing albums during the week of Thanksgiving because it's so much more difficult to get the attention of media and music consumers due to the holidays. That said, there are a few albums out this week that we highly [...] Read more, get songs or stream the entire mix on Indie Rock Cafe
I love stuff like the above video. It just seems a little more inventive than writing a verse-bridge-chorus three-minute pop song. Although, given how much straightforward pop music (albeit smothered in reverb, compression and distortion) I've been listening to this year you'd never have guessed. Anyhow, for those of you getting a bit bored of Festival stuff, remember we have our four Toad at the Circus gigs starting next week, with the first one being the Pineapple Chunks album launch, supported by Dolfinz (from Stonehaven) and Mutch & Thomas (from The Leg). The info for all four gigs [...]
A quick burst of this to celebrate Orange Juice's award at the Mojos: [Buy: Coals To Newcastle ] -- Visit No Rock & Roll Fun to comment, complain and kvetch
You can tell the Mojo Awards are aimed at a more mature audience, as they're sponsored by a gentle scotch rather than a bourbon. The winners, then: Breakthrough act: Rumer Not entirely sure what she's supposed to have "broken through". I know the idea of the idea of an artist struggling for years and then breaking through all that crapola are as outdated as a Beady Eye bassline, but if you're going to give Rumer an award for starting her career, perhaps the category name should be redrafted to something more appropriate? [...]

Toronto - You might have never actually heard the name Miles Kane before, but certainly you will know his music. With previous stints in well regarded bands The Rascals and The Last Shadow Puppets, Miles Kane has certainly made a name for himself in the past few years within the NME/Brit indie garage rock world. With that in mind, the musician from England is now embarking on a solo journey, having released his debut album Colour of the Trap a few months ago. I don't know when or why he did a cover of Edwynn Collin's [...]
Bloody hell. Holidays are awesome things, but getting back from them to the terrifying number of neglected tasks which pile up in your absence is quite intimidating. So far the best I have managed has been to stare in a startled way at my desk and adopt a facial expression which looks dangerously like Ctrl-Alt-Delete is called for. I think I might wait for lunch and just go an lie in the sun in Inverleith Park instead, and accept the meltdown rather than fight it. Anyhow, that clip at the top is from the BBC's SXSW [...]

That's it. I'm going to throw my hands up as my new obsession definitely has to be Hoop Dreams . They've just released a superb 73 track on Captured Tracks , and I can't help but just press repeat over and over again. There's this weird hint of Orange Juice, but with a more modern feel that will definitely appeal to any current listener in the indie music spectrum. Perhaps it's too short, but that makes it all the more powerful, as you can't help but get this [...]
We caught up with the five members of Tigercats through the medium of email to discuss playing public toilets in Berlin, Rebecca Black as well as the best way to part your hair. COUGARMICROBES: What time did you wake up today? Was it out of choice or necessity? GILES: 9 out of necessity, 10.30 after [...]

Things are all running a bit late today, as I have just gotten back down from Inverness from this years goNorth festival and boy do I feel rough. For those of you don't already know, it's basically a music industry event with panels and showcase gigs. Essentially I have come to the conclusion that it's a good excuse for anyone involved in Scottish music to get together for 3 days and get smashed together, or at least that's what I did. Hence I am now suffering the consequences of my debauchery, I might try and write a bit more about [...]

I'm flying down to Los Angeles this morning then spending a few days driving my way up the coast for an old fashioned west coast road trip along the Pacific. What's a road trip without a freshly curated mixtape? Well, it's not a road trip at all. As I'm escaping the Portland rain, I'm in a celebratory and dancey mood, so on that note, I present to you: Dancecation. The Naked and Famous - "Youngblood (Dave Sitek remix)" Starfucker - "Quality Time" [...]

Falling and laughing - Orange Juice Quite simply one of the best songs ever written. And it was their first single! It does things to me - things i very much like it doing. Both in the helplessly gooey-inside way Edwyn Collins subdues me as he sings that rising verse, and how gently it drops; and in that i actually GET gooey inside - i respond. And how. The way he sings " ...and consequently... " Oooh... I like the single version [...]

Hello Milkfans , I know I just posted some OF earlier today, but boy do I have a treat for you! The homies over at BADBADNOTGOOD have been putting in some work, releasing some gnar vids of the Odd Trio performing a purely instrumental rendition of some of the classic OF jams: Bastard , Orange Juice and Assmilk I think these guys were reading my mind with the song selection, grab a gander below; Originals also posted below the [...]

The Odd Trio is a group of kids equipped with a piano, a drum set, and a bass guitar that make the most swagged out covers of Odd Future music I have heard yet. The group, which consists of Matt Tavares on the piano, Alex Sowinski on drums, and Chester Hansen on bass, takes three Odd Future songs "Bastard", "Assmilk", and "Orange Juice" and uses them as a base in order to create their own unique and very impressive jazz versions. What makes this such a great work-over of Odd Future's stuff is that the three musicians performing are clearly [...]

After their stellar performance at ACL this past fall, we all expected great things from Foals heading into last Thursday's show at La Zona Rosa. For the most part, the night consisted of mediocre music and sub-par performances, until Foals dominated the evening. For what it's worth, I knew very little about opener The Naked and Famous , other than the fact that they've earned the right to be called Passion Pit-lite thanks to their album's "Young Blood." While I realize that this might not be the most popular opinion in [...]
