Everyone loves a good cover song, there’s no doubt about it. Hearing an alternative version of your favourite tune, performed by one of your favourite artists, is especially an exciting moment. For this week’s 'TOP FIVES', I decided to share with you some of my most enjoyable cover songs! CLUBFEET 'Latch' ( DISCLOSURE Cover) CLUBFEET love playing covers and after you watch this, you'll be able to see why. They pick a great song, which most people like and then perform it [...]

Here is 8prn 's take on Outkast's anthemic pop classic "Roses". This may be the dopest remix we have heard from Patrick Holland so far... That said–he has a handful choice cuts in his remix discography already. ( His adaptation of Evy Jane's "nothing so great" is a personal favourite.) If you are feeling 8prn 's steez, put on his 'escape' mix; it's fresh out of the oven: You can catch him tomorrow night in Vancouver at Fortune. He [...]

Big Boi (from Outkast ) is playing the TLA on Wednesday, June 12 with Philly's DJ Royale . The rapper is on his "Shoes For Running Tour." Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 17. Go here for tickets to the show.
Here we have another dazzling remix from Vancouver producer 8prn ( Jellyfish Recordings / Chapel Sound / Blenheim & Celtic ) putting his own spin on the Outkast classic " Roses ." This piece is rhythmically enchanting with a sonically vast atmosphere and a funky energy that bursts at the chorus - bringing on a dance apocalypse. It truly is fun .

Be sure to holler at Jimi Needles on facebook if you dig this jam. It is straight fire. Janelle Monae - Tightrope (Jimi Needles Grand Popo Edit) - DOWNLOAD LINK
One days where I cannot find anything decent to post, I usually like to go back and see what tracks I've missed posting in the past. One of them happens to be Philipp H. & Jonson 's remix of Outkast's song "Roses," which was shown to me by Upside Sounds writer Steven Lanting. Although I haven't heard of the duo before, I'm certainly diggin' their deep house take on this classic. Mixing in a dance-worthy assortment of high-hats, bass, and solo keys from a piano, it's really hard not to like this remix upon first listen! All I have [...]
Tame Impala cover's OutKast's 'Prototype.'
Yes, Tame Impala. Yes, at Triple J. Yes, covering Outkast: -- Visit No Rock & Roll Fun to comment, complain and kvetch
If you had to guess one of Tame Impala 's "favorite songs ever" what would it be? I bet you wouldn't have guessed that it's Outkast 's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below cut "Prototype." Visiting Triple J studios, the Australian outfit chose to cover that song for the radio station's ongoing "Like A Version" segment. The band turns the mellow funk-laden jam into a reverbed psychedelic number, and it's actually really good. Check it out below.
This is rather lovely... Tame Impala visited Australian radio station, Triple J to cover André 3000 ′s “ Prototype ” from Outkast 's The Love Below double album. Check out the video footage below:
Just in time for the weekend! My all time favorite Outkast tune is covered flawlessly by Tame Imapala on Like A Version from Youtube's triplejtv. Keeping in line with Andre 3000 & Big Boi's smooth baby-making vibes, Tame Impala leaves a little wiggle room to blend in their characteristic space rock psychedelia, twisting it into [...]
Seriously: Tame Impala took to Australia's triple j radio this morning to cover that touching tale of alien love from OutKast's Speakerboxxx / The Love Below , "Prototype." According to Kevin Parker , it's one of the band's mutual favorite songs, and it's receptive to their psychedelic touches - they basically succeed in making it sound like a Tame Impala song, with distorted guitars, funky backbeats, and competing vocals from Parker and Nick Allbrook . Check it out. The original: [...]

Triple J in Australia always seem to get the best new acts and the best bands from around the world to record a session for them, and on top of that they always persuade the big name bands to do a cover. Here we have the Australian band Tame Impala cover OutKast's track "Prototype". Follow / [FACEBOOK] / [TWITTER] Other / [OFFICIAL SITE]

Earlier this year, Outkast had themselves a sorta kinda but not really reunion , and while it didn't go beyond that sole Frank Ocean track, it clearly re-sparked people's interest in the ATLiens. STS9 put their jam band spin on "SpottieOttieDopaliscious" , Ryan Hemsworth chopped and screwed "Return of the G" , and now Tame Impala have returned home to Australia to cover "Prototype" for Triple J's coveted "Like A Version." Apparently one of their "favorite songs ever," the band take the Speakerboxxx/The Love Below deep cut from a funky [...]

Here Australian psych champions Tame Impala return to their homeland's biggest radio station to do Triple J's consistently successful Like A Version series. In an impressive display of lateral thinking, the band chose a song that suits their strengths while also feeling a bit unexpected: André 30002s The Love Below paean to perfection "Prototype." It's clear Tame aren't messing about their deep love for the song (despite not recognizing the spoken-word intro to its official video ), faithfully recreating most every distinctive aspect of its squishy sighing love-funk, from the future-forward splat-bass and its trebly guitar counterpart [...]
