How's this for a dream band: Neurosis + PJ Harvey + Godflesh. France's Overmars have made this happen without marquee names. Yet they put to shame most of what passes for doom and sludge now. Ho scoperto gli Overmars, Born Again (2007) ha un solo pezzo di 39 minuti ma scorre che è una bellezza e non si tratta semplicemente di funeral doom piuttosto di desperate doom. Non mi convince invece il nuovo Until Death Overtakes Me (UDOM), troppo ambient, troppi synth, poco doom. Il titolo però è meraviglioso, Days without Hope.
