Pacific Pride is a pack of musicians ranging from yacht-pop to psychedelic and experimental, namely Tennis drummer John Barone, Robert Ballentyne from Tjutjuna, Germaine Baca from Old Time Relijun , with the main songwriting duties taken by Paul Garcia. There are certainly influences of yesteryear from bands like Silver Jews and Pavement . Even the song title "Yankee Soda" looks like a track off American Water, but where Berman/Malkmus remained uniform, Pacific Pride jams out.
