Using the hashtag (#) followed by "MusicMonday" you can easily find new music posted by the thousands of people making recommendations each week. Every #MusicMonday I upload a playlist of 20 songs that I've been listening to (new and old) over the [...]

Busy? I don't think so. If you're over 21+ and have nothing to do - definitely head down to Spaceland on April Fools Day. Mostly a great line-up for this weeks CLUB NME featuring The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and THE MUSICAL DIFFERENCES. White Denim are also playing but they suck so, whatever. The Musical Differences are here in LA recording some material and are playing their FIRST LA/USA (I think) GIG AT SPACELAND! They are led by Rob Skipper (formerly of the Holloways) and include Josh Hubbard (the Paddingtons, ex-fill-in-guitar for DPT) so yeah, it's $10 in [...]

Elements of back-lashing against the fall of traditional punk, edges out through some The Moldy Peaches rawness, the insight and uncompromising touch akin to The Fall, topped off by the Liam Gallagher baiting front man Tom Atkin's coarse, yet driven vocals. Hull's The Paddingtons use this second album to shamelessly and proudly exclaim that despite having a New York base, when making America their second home, they have lost none of their Northern grit and no shit approach. 'Punk RIP', is a shrill valediction to the glory days of Da Pistols and Sham 69. A The Cribs veined, [...]
G ood morning and welcome to another singles round-up. Lots of good things out today but let's not forget Conor Oberst's album is out today too! Single of the Week was a bit of shoe in, but there's still a lot of other good music coming out.. P.S, MP3s are on their way back up SINGLE OF THE WEEK > Late Of The Pier – Heartbeat This song is every bit as insane as [...]
Channel 4's search for the best unsigned band visited the Devil's hometown of Liverpool with the six bands left in the competition playing at the Carling Academy. It's debatable whether the six bands truly represent the best unsigned bands in the UK but there are a couple of bands that have that undefinable stamp of true indie authenticity. Disappointingly one of those, the raucously energetic post punkers, The Gingerbread Men , fell by the wayside this week. Leaving the way clear for the only other [...]
There's bust days ahead for The Paddingtons: indiepop's own limb-waggling Tim Burgess has offered them the Charlatans studio to tidy their demos into something releasable as a second album, while they're also edging out onto a UK tour from this very evening: Mon 23 October Sheffield Leadmill Tue 24 Oxford Zodiac Wed 25 Norwich Waterfront Thu 26 Newcastle Northumbria Uni Fri 27 Aberdeen Moshulu Sat 28 Edinburgh Liquid Rooms Mon 30 Manchester Academy 2 Tue 31 Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall Wed 1 November Bristol Anson Rooms Thu 2 Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms Sat 4 Hull Yo-Yo [...]
