This is totally staged. The millennial totally nails that interrogative affectation at the end of each sentence, as if every statement she's making is actually a question? But why did YouTuber Da KAnDyMaNFU stop recording as soon as her friend exited the room? I say fake, but you decide for yourself. It's entertainment nonetheless. h/t Laughing Squid Follow @BrianAbrams

I've always been really passionate about painting and drawing, and when younger, these were disciplines I practiced quite often. Then (as with many of my generation and forward) the computer happened and the only "paint" I used was part of Microsoft's software. Now after many years, I find myself wanting to return to those roots. This in part thanks to other designers that have inspired me to want to incorporate different mediums in to my work, such as Michael Cina for example, who in my opinion has proven that all of these disciplines can coexist within a designer [...]
Elodie's name may means "keyboard" in French, it's well on a canvas she plies her fairy fingers. Elodie Clavier is a style-savvy illustrator, French Brittany native, whose inspiration tilts on daily street-seen details. For Maison Kitsuné, she painted silhouettes from the Spring-Summer 2013 collections, in airy inks. Below, find out this serie of watercolor-like paintings, which [...]

News of the Fire have grown up. It has been, after all, over two years since their debut EP, Motions & Hints , was released before any of them were of legal drinking age. The SoCal youngsters arrived with a defined sound across five songs which marked them as (yet another) promising talent to come out of the region. Recorded over almost over the course of an entire academic year, The Paint EP is step-forward for the four-piece, and [...]

Virginia based artist Todd Hale has created an ongoing series of colorful illustrations created solely on an ipad. He only uses his fingers to create these vibrantly grotesque paintings. Through these works, Todd has brought the childishness tradition of finger painting to the forefront by transforming the medium into the digital realm of the 21st century. The idea remains the same minus the mess and clean up, I think Todd is definitely onto something!

Super-stirring satirist Jean-Philippe Delhomme, highly renowned for his Unknown Hipster Diaries, once more sketched Maison Kitsuné's spirit with wittiness and subtlety. And this time, his illustrations are highly inspired by the Californian models of our Spring-Summer 2013 lookbook: Los Angeles Venus Chelsea Schuchman and peppy preppy skater Braydon Szafranski. Have a look to Jean-Phillipe Delhomme's nifty parodies below, paralleled [...]

Pauline Boty on her bed in 1963. At 2.00pm on Monday, 8 July 1968, and nine days before the world premiere, three of the Beatles arrived at a press-screening of Yellow Submarine. It was at the 102-seat cinema situated inside Bowater House in Knightsbridge, a massive post-war office block that was distinctly ‘carbuncular’ in appearance. It had been built a decade before in 1958 by the developer Harold Samuel for the Bowater-Scott Corporation the world's largest newsprint company, and the building completely dominated the adjacent Scotch Corner junction. John Lennon was the Beatle [...]

Part of the reason for me choosing to write about this album is that I recently had the chance to explain why I loved it so when guesting on a regional radio show (it’s kind of my thing these days, I’m the Luis Guzman of Internet/Community radio) and I choked like one of Eminem’s opponents in 8 Mile (Times Up, Over, Blauw!)…totally blew it and like Gary Numan finds on this album, I want redemption! I’m not trying to put across some kind of “ Oh-I’m-not-cool-and-I-don’ t-care-because-I-have-so-much- integrity ” nonsense. I released the Nosferatu D2 album; [...]

Words by Robin Stewart I was in a record store one day when I chanced upon a compilation album presented by Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead fame. You may be familiar with his work; has the odd tinkle on the guitar, every now and again impresses with his prowess on this or that electronic box of tricks. Good bloke. Very thorough. What caught my eye though wasn't Radiohead's finest, but the red, gold and green on the cover. Greenwood's ingenuity has many influences I'm sure, but his [...]

Bloodshake by PEACE Summer is without a shadow of a doubt, the best season of the year. I don’t mean to sound like a cheesy teenager from a Los Angeles based film revolving around the lives of four best friends in high school but it’s the truth. Although it’s expected to snow tomorrow here in London, I was lucky enough to go on a trip to Australia during Christmastime! And as it was boiling over there, I revisited some of the tunes I was into during the summertime. Tropical, bouncy, fun, and exploding with colour, [...]
