Another Thursday Graboid once again, but I couldn't help it too much as there were what would seem like an insurmountable amount of albums to go through. This is a huge day at the record store. A lot of this stuff is well worth picking up. The guy and gals of Palomar. When Brooklyn's Palomar released their very first back in 1999, lots of folks were comparing them to bands like The Fastbacks and yes, Talulah Gosh. Now, eight years and three albums later, they've grown up into a slightly different sound. One of my favorite Baltimore bands is Thrushes . I did a feature on them back in December and it has been nice to see them getting a lot of well deserved love since. Palomar have a brand new album coming out later this Month. It's titled All Things, Forests and will be released on the Misra label. It will be the bands first album since 2004's Palomar III: Revenge of Palomar although they did release the excellent 3.5 EP on i-tunes in 2005.
