You may remember BIGkids . You may not. It depends if you read our blog, and even if you read it do you listen to what we say? We don't blame you if you don't. We wouldn't. So here is a reminder of 'Drum In Your Chest'. It's getting a proper release on March 4th (although we don't have a pre-order link for you - HINT HINT friends at BIGkids HQ) BIGkids 'Drum In Your Chest': We totally love this. We'd like to see them live. [...]

The New York Post ran a story about Katy Perry partying at SoHo House in West Hollywood. The story suggested that the newly divorced singer was flirting and dancing the whole night, seemingly unbothered by her marriage falling apart. Well, the woman who actually was at SoHo house that night was Sarah Orzechowski , and the mystery man she was flirting with, is her fiancé Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco fame. Needless to say, Sarah was amused. Posting to [...]
11. The Wombats 'This Modern Glitch' - Much, much too fun to care about the haterz. 12. Panic! at the Disco 'Vices & Virtues' - A hooks-stuffed reminder of what made these so striking in the first place. 13. Death Cab for Cutie 'Codes and Keys' - Fresh enough to lock down their place in [...]

When reviewing singles I always use the philosophy, if you end up having the track on constant repeat after the first listen then it's good. This was certainly the case for Brother & Bones' single Hold me like the Sun. The single cover describes them sounding a bit like Mumford and Sons (I ca... Read more..

Watch Ween, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Widespread Panic and others perform live covers on Halloween.

Foxy Shazam performed at the National back in January and are making a return appearance on Wednesday, Oct. 26, this time opening for Panic! at the Disco (who I seriously thought had broken up) and Patrick Stump , the lead singer from Fall Out Boy. It's safe to say that this show attract legion of obnoxious teenage girls, so I think I will have to sit this one out (or get VIP tickets from someone nice). Foxy Shazam is seriously the only reason I would go this show. They are beyond incredible [...]

panic! at the disco - let's kill tonight [what a fun song! part 80's footloose tribute, part casio explosion, part gothic cathedral session all blended with the spirit of emo stadium rock out (and the strings playing underneath... genius). i keep on being surprised by this band and this song is so exception!] http://feeds.feedburner.com/Wo ngiesMusicWorld

![[Album Review] Various Artists - 'Batman: Arkham City - The Album'](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3776965_lg.jpg)
When you think of DC's Dark Knight. Batman, you automatically think of Gotham Cities night backdrop, darkened alleyways and the worlds most sadistic villains. So why is it when it comes to soundtracks and album's based on the series films or games, labels choose the strangest selection of songs? We'll let the whole Prince soundtrack slide because he's well....Prince. Duh. Normally when I think of Batman soundtracks the first song that comes to mind is Seal's " Kiss From A Rose " and I have no bad things to say about that song because it's still a classic. [...]

Foxy Shazam , the rabble-rousing rockers who were lauded by USA Today for their "stadium-sized anthem" and praised by MTV for their "audacious glam-rock-meets-prog-pop," are the first signing to the re-launched I.R.S. The Cincinnati, Ohio-based sextet - Eric Nally (vocals), Loren Turner (guitar), Daisy (bass), Sky White (piano), Aaron McVeigh (drums) and Alex Nauth (horns) - released three albums to critical and fan acclaim. Though this week's new releases is full of all sorts of very exciting releases (such as a whole bunch of vinyl reissues from Dinosaur Jr. and a DVD from "Weird Al" Yankovic 's latest round of touring), we're most giddy about the new album from AIDS Wolf , Ma Vie Banale Avant-Garde (pictured). But, of course, the new releases don't stop there. Bar/None puts out the latest from Emperor X , Warner Bros. has a new one from Mutemath , and FatCat releases an album from We Were Promised Jetpacks . [...]

Panic at the Disco have released a new jam, "Mercenary", off the upcoming soundtrack for B atman: Arkham City . I guess video game soundtracks are kind of in these days? Anyway, song is undeniable theatric catchiness. The sample in the middle of the song doesn't fit too well, but everything else is vintage PATD.

Ever since the birth of the internet, it has become a grueling and laborious task to break through the clutter in the music industry. This, however, has never discouraged the guys in Night Fevers . Since day 1, their work ethic has been strong and they've stayed optimistic, hustling and waiting for their big break. It's only a matter of time for the band. Could their time be now? They're finalists (top 10 in the country) in Charter's Center Stage Contest this year and have the chance to take home $25,000 and an opening spot for [...]
