The transition from digital to post-digital is the theme of the third annual Alpha-ville Festival , which takes place September 22-25 in several venues around London. This October, the infamous Pitchfork site, known for it's unapologetic critiques of all things new and cutting edge in music, is bringing it's curated sounds to the City of Lights on October 28 and 29. The festival will take over Le Grande Halle de la Vil lette, a stunning 19th century glass and metal structure that stands in the center of the Parc de la Villette, the city's largest public cultural park. Blonde Redhead are giving their fans a big treat, a free album. The band have released a 6-track album featuring remixes of tracks taken from their latest release ' Penny Sparkler '. The album features remixes by Pantha du Prince , Salem , Becoming Real , Games , and Kastellet . A remix by Bon Iver -affilated Gayngs is also featured on the remix album.
