Hadouken! are indeed back, but they have never gone away in our eyes ... Returning with a welcomed and Pendulum-flavoured track, 'Parasite' turn up the frequencies on all levels and give each & every daytime radio show a good kick up the backside with promise and lively noise. Preparing themselves for their third studio album forthcoming soon on the Ministry Of Sound, the single 'Parasite' comes accompanied by four polished mixes by The Shadowchild, Break, SkisM & Zomboy and Akira Kiteshi. With more excitement created in the air then we have for them already, be [...]
Church is pretty hard to google because of it's generic name but they are a grunge-pop band from Toronto. They have a free EP up on Bandcamp that highlights a lot of good sounding things to come as they are working on a full album. With a mixture of basement lo-fi and some generic indie-rock they have songs that are sure to please. Church- Parasite
See that image on the right, there? That's the egg of what is known as a cowbird, a bird which, a little like a cuckoo, tricks other birds into raising its young and therefore is able to avoid doing any fucking work itself. I hope you can see how I would think this a suitable image to illustrate a rant about fucking remixers. I was actually intending to use a picture of a parasite to illustrate this particular post but, honestly, I couldn't stomach the Google image search. It would have more accurately illustrated how I [...]
Double Tap, The Zombie Watch is our first line of defense against the undead scourge. Join us as we search for all things zombie and zombie-related, but don't forget to double tap. Safety first! The environment is important and we should preserve it, at least that's what Captain Planet said. Many terrible things are destroying the environment and the creatures that live in our forests, rivers and seas but there are a few dangers out there that are far scarier then anything you can imagine. Nature in all its cruelty has created organisms that in effect 'zombify' their [...]

Coliseum continues their path of creating more melodic music that still pummels your ears and this song is definitely on par then all the best tracks on House with a Curse . For the new EP Parasites , J. Robbins once again produced and Rick Froberg (Obits, Hot Snakes) provided the album art. Mp3: Coliseum - Waiting (Too Late)
Superhumanoids (Los Angeles, CA) Good lord I'm behind on posting. Been a hectic few weeks so bare with me. I would be remiss not to introduce you to Superhumanoids ' fantastic new EP Parasite Paradise . The band have really stepped things up with this release. Their own label Hit City USA has also grown by leaps and bounds to include an amazing roster of releases from Lord Huron , Princeton , and The Franks . The 4 song EP is lush and male/female vocal harmonies terrific. [...]
Cameron Parkins started Superhumaoids in the bedroom, a DIY project that soon grew - they're a fully-formed LA four-piece. Their new EP, 'Parasite Paradise', is a must for anyone who has ever enjoyed a bit of Dreamy, Shoegazing, Electro Pop. The time between Joy Division and New Order fills the airwaves in opener 'Malta', Parkins taking the lead vocal across strummed electrics, buzzing synths and a thumping bass drum. The band have a knack for a big sound with an exposed heart. Girl member Sarah Chernoff takes the lead on 'Mirrors', a more electro, hazy piece of soaring Pop - [...]

COLISEUM'S PARASITE IS ON POINT
One thing's for damn sure: Coliseum know what they're doing. They've been around long enough and they've seen parts of the world some of us (myself included) still dream of visiting; needles to say, the notoriety they've built up has been well earned. That worldliness, minus the pretentious undertones you might expect from a band [...]

COLISEUM AIN'T NO BUNCH OF PARASITES
Last time I wrote about Louisville hardcore/rawkers Coliseum a commenter tough-guy by the name of Jesse Radon accused me of only having listened to their most recent album, House Without a Curse, presumably because I referred to their music as a "blend of bluesy rock, metal and hardcore" (emphasis added). Hey, guess what Jesse? You're wrong! [...]

Vermapyre/Parasite split 7"
The latest excursion from the increasingly diverse Holy Terror Records is this intriguing split 7" between Vermapyre and Aichi, Japan's Parasite. I believe this is the first recorded output from Vermapyre (though there are rumors of a cassette demo), and all three tracks offer a completely different approach. "March of Thee Vermapyrical Legions" is an [...]

If You Knew
If you knew - Parasites I'll post the album version this time even though, like the Orange Juice singles, i like the 73 version better. Again, it's a case of a band knowing what they are doing, knowing what they want and how to get it - doing those right, templative things instead of figuring their way with their own means. But you can't gag a good song, and this is an incredible one.

Chaz Knapp – Vie Comme un Parasite Faisant la Fête [EP]
This is a bit out of the blue, and certainly not a customary post for Potholes (especially considering that this EP is two years old), but I felt the need to share this piece of music with you. Chaz Knapp is a contemporary classical pianist, but before you get turned off by the word "classical" just note that a lot of the modern classical artists are beginning to fuse their styles with electronic, ambient, jazz and post-rock genres. Such is the case with Chaz Knapp's Vie Comme un Parasite Faisant la Fête EP, which I found [...]
Early Morning Shuffle – Superhumanoids 'Parasite Paradise'
The dreamy Los Angeles pop machine with the erratic name Superhumanoids are releasing their new EP Parasite Paradise digitally today via Hit City USA. In just 4 tracks, PP is subtle and less hazy than dreamers Beach House, but still follow suit with helping you float away. An immense energy of synth transcends that gap [...]
