I'm so sick of the term 'post-punk'. It used to mean something. It began as an inextricable link to the murky machinations of the era that followed punk's golden age three decades ago. It was a gloomy, intellectual answer to the brazen, self-righteous dignities of London's underground hardcore scene. Manchester, Factory Records, Ian Curtis-they all bleed with the aftermath of the punk music apex. We previously told you about Jaguar Love , the new band by ex- Blood Brothers ' Johnny Whitney and Cody Votolato , well the three remaining members of the now defunct band also have a new band. When esteemed decade-or-so running behemoth The Blood Brothers called it quits last year , we erupted in sadness. It was like when you're a kid and your dog dies, only the dog didn't die per se, it just sort of stopped licking your face or something.
